  1. I agree that the Wave kit is underwhelming, but I don't think that the Imai or CM versions do any better. To me, the iconic soldier is the illustration on the box of the old Imai kit. Compared to that, the Wave design looks like a gnome, mostly because of the tiny body and chest, which in turn makes the head look too big. The lower legs should be longer, the arms are too wide. I hope to see the new kit in the upcoming model magazines with a paintjob that is not so heavy on the panel lines. Maybe that will improve the look slightly.
  2. This will even look better with a Flanker style splinter camo.
  3. Is there already a release date for the Drossel 2.0?
  4. Regular price is 3600 Yen. Considering the size of the kit, the price is more on the ambitious side.
  5. This message is approved by Rena Hirose
  6. A full range of the Anubis Orbital Frames from Koto would be awesome. After being neglected for years, there seems to be a real race for the ZOE releases now. We still have to see the Riobot versions.
  7. Yes - it's this kit. Highly recommended for impressiveness.
  8. The Mighty Dragon says "Back to modeling everybody!"
  9. Petar, are you familiar with Argentinian comic artist Juan Gimenéz? Great stories & fantastic hardware (lots of WWII/70s era aircraft refenrences). Check out "The fourth power" or "Garbage".
  10. There's so much great talent around, so I just boil it down to the creators of "Comics that blew my head off" category: Moebius (Incal, The Airtight Garage) Howard Chaykin (The Stars my Destination, Cody Starbuck) Travis Charest (Wildcats) Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri (Druuna) Bill Sienkiewicz (Elektra Assasin) also Richard Corben (Den) Dave McKean (Arkham Asylum)
  11. Stealth Hawk is out: It looks somewhat cool and lame at the same time. Stealth turns everything into a lo-poly papercraft version of itself.
  12. Can you nuke the site from orbit in the end? You know, it's the only way to be sure.
  13. I totally support artistic freedom and re-interpretations of given designs. I just noticed that something about the new nose put me off; I thought it was the length, but it was the shape that was just different from my mental image of the Alpha.
  14. Well, I'm willing to grant the makers a lot of artistic freedom concerning the plot and with adding some action scenes, but it is exactly the bazooka that crosses the border for me. What's next? Boobies?
  15. It's been a long time, but I don't remember Captain Haddock firing a bazooka in the comics back then.
  16. Roy Batty: "Gosh, you've... really got some nice toys here."
  17. I used to think that "Lost" was the greatest thing on TV until they ruined everything with the last season. Any "Fringe" lovers here?
  18. New new nose is tons better than the earlier version, but I took a look at the lineart and I think it should taper more at the base:
  19. Now all that's left from 0083 is the Gerbera Tetra. Oh and Xamel.
  20. J-20 (Trumpeter) vs. F-22 (Revell)
  21. Black Spinner down! This could be the perfect starting point for a long-needed Cyberpunk revival. And Nolan or Snyder need to take over the "Neuromancer" production.
  22. The next (Ocotber) issue of Model Grafix magazine will have another "Advanced Valkyrie in Action" theme, I hope to see some nice VF-11 variants.
  23. Trumpeter will release a very nice 1/72 kit of the J-20
  24. It's Alien Reloaded: Screenshots from Comic Con 1 Screenshots from Comic Con 2 Screenshots from Comic Con 3 Flamethrowers!
