  1. So we have this: DWG109 = Messerschmitt Bf-109 FG156 = Me-163 DWG262 = Me-262 DWG229 = Horten Ho-229 DMB87 = Ju-87 Stuka (note the angled wings) Any ideas for the others?
  2. I spotted it at the left of this photo; yes, it's small. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BHGZHHdCIAEJR-L.jpg:large
  3. Already announced in the Riobot thread, but I think it should be in here, too: Riobot Jehuty is finally coming in September. It has even more gimmicks & accessories than the Kotobukiya and Revoltech figures combined, for a mere 13500 Yen (cough). More Large pictures: http://mecha-guy.blogspot.de/2013/06/riobot-jehuty-large-official-images.html And here: http://mecha-guy.blogspot.de/2013/06/riobot-jehuty-on-display.html
  4. Did I understand it correctly that the UX-01 "Submarine" will only be released as a Mekakore add-on to another kit?
  5. The only justification for STIII is the introduction of the Bird of Prey design.

  10. Watched part of the first Trekmovie ('79) on TV last night and wonder why people bitch so much about Abrams' lens flare. Did they never watch Trumbull's work?
  11. Actually, those recon drones are larger than the combat ones.
  12. Moebius used the Timeslip kit to create their master. Let's see how much corners they had to cut for injection plastic production.

  15. Hasegawa has the market covered for the aircraft modelers, Bandai's kits are aimed at the occasional modeler or people who don't want to spend too much time on a kit. These VFs are meant to be handled, posed and transformed, including the repeated removal of the landing gear, which is why they look how they do. The Frontier aircraft are excellent replicas of their animated counterparts, they're just a b*tch to build.
  16. Revell's nuEnt kit at Shizuoka: http://www.1999.co.jp/blog/img/130517ptome31.jpg So far the Aztek pattern is not a decal.

  18. I'm an avid supporter of that rule, only in this case the exception works very well. It sells the impression of the scout vessel silenty passing the planet's surface, the dynamic of an angular position is not needed here. What I would have changed is the position in relation to the center of the base, I think it would look more balanced if the legs extended the edge of the base. Nice to see this great spaceship design getting some love.
  19. I'm glad that somebody actually does buy (and build) the 1/48 kits...
