  1. Beautiful face and behind, but what is going on in the side view? It looks like the front end is far too short, and someone should tidy up the area behind the door and above the rear wheels.
  2. They might as well buy some Yak-130s.
  3. Isn't the stretch already present at the purple line in the side view?
  4. We may finally get a good 1/48 kit of the mighty Viggen from swedish kit makers Tarangus. A CAD preview can be found here: http://www.themodellingnews.com/2013/08/attention-viggen-lovers-we-have-latest.html HLJ has it for preorder with an Ocotber release date. http://www.tarangus.se/
  5. Wasn't there some in-movie logic in making him look more "human" (= man in suit) than the mechanized cylons we see patroling with the ED-209 in the trailer?
  6. I watched Tron: Legacy again recently because the son of my GF wanted to see it and i still can't get over how insultingly bad it was.
  7. If they really wanted to make him a "man trapped in a machine" they should have broken up the silhouette more, like with the Synths from "Total Recall". More like "...in a mainstream entertainment environment"
  8. Thanks again for the pics - Wave really nailed the designs. The old kits were pretty much rubbish.
  9. I want to see that VF-11D with a russian camo scheme... - Arming my Gun Platform:
  10. Awesome Cosmo Falcon box illustrations courtesy of Hobbysearch
  11. I'm sure they have a license agreement, so they're more like "ka-CHING".
  12. Now who makes a 1/48 launch arm?
  13. According to HLJ, there's also the option to build it as a two-seater.
  14. Give them some incentive and buy a lot of their 1/72 Frontier Valks...
  15. Apparently we also get some bonus missiles with the kit
  16. Superbly balanced paint scheme, Chris. Good luck with the decals.
  17. Does that mean we miss out the Tenjin painting of the S? Nice move of Hase, anyway.
  18. I guess the best solution would be to not apply a panel line wash to the flat areas to push the lines back a bit. Of course Moebius should have done a better job there. The kit has the same size as the Monogram Galactica and thus is in scale with the Moebius Nu Galactica. One more shot of the Viper (kit is from a fellow modeler)
  19. The Galactica is scheduled for early 2014. Like I said before, Moebius used the Timeslip kit for reference, so it's as accurate as you get. In the meantime, you can get the new Classic Viper from HLJ: http://www.hlj.com/product/MOE940/Sci Beware that, apparently, you can get only 80s style, deeply plowed panel lines from Moebius' contractor: (to the right is the Monogram/Revell Viper with manually scribed lines)
  20. I switched to Tamiya acrylics 20 years ago and I encourage everyone to give them a try. I doubt the fumes (alcohol) do more damage to your brain than a few beers. Makes the hobby so much more convenient.
