AKIRA LIVE ACTION MOVIE = Life Support?
electric indigo replied to Macross007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So do we all. But instead it will end up in the hands of a talentless hack with no respect for the source material and it's originating culture, streamlined for the summer blockbuster audience and cast with twentysomething american idol clones, buried in an epic FX orgy, and the whole farce will continue to laugh in our faces in the form of two sequels /rant I did like Collet-Serra's "Orphan", mainly for it's lead actress, but after reading his comments on Akira, I wanted to crush him with my Otomo collection. -
Now that's some nice Destroids you got there!

Yes, leave the robot movies to Blomkamp, at least then they'll look like robots and not like B-grade action figures. I'd watch a feature-length Tetra Vaal.

That is the plan. I will try to scratch build the custom payload and the mods to the Hubble telescope and get some decals printed to turn this kit into Gravity's Explorer.

Since US overseas shipping costs have exploded, it may be cheaper for non-US residents to buy Moebius and R2 kits from japanese dealers.

IMO the best time to thoroughly clean the parts is right before painting, i.e. after you removed all the pouring stubs and seam lines, and have put a lot of finger grease all over them again. -
Haha, I had one of those (minus the police outfit) in the late 80s!
