  1. It looks fantastic. Congratulations on nailing down the shapes from all those floppy line arts. Now I hope somebody builds one in the near future.
  2. Here's your economically resized capital ship from Megahouse:
  3. Next Koto ZOE kit is Dolores. Not my favorite design, and I expected Nephtis to come first. I wonder if they'll include Idolo in the lineup, too.
  4. Scarlett is on a superhuman trip lately. Guess I'll stick with Under the Skin
  5. This one is in Germany: http://www.formulor.de/ Fairly affordable offers.
  6. Wouldn't it be far cheaper to go the laser cut route with this design? The base would have to be simplified and loose the beveled edges, of course, but you could still engrave the kite.
  7. I think a key point of the movie is that it's more related to our current reality instead of an ultra hight-tech SF universe. The suits from the Manga are too cool to fit in there. And the general audience will perceive an closed armor suit as a robot rather than a human fighter.
  8. Looks great. Do you think your decals still work? I started making vector art of them and can dig them out if you want to print them for yourself.
  9. The VFX reel contains everything you need to watch of this movie.
  10. Canards on a proposal for an american fighter = fail.
  11. Somebody had the brilliant idea to combine YF-23 and F-14.
  12. The visuals are great, but I have to say that Mila Kunis does absolutely nothing for me (and the other characters aren't promising much, either). Can't they add charisma in post-production today?
  13. I just finished the HGUC Victory 1. A great little kit. I modded the elbow joints for a simpler look and replaced the kit's hands with Bandai Builders Parts size S hands. Decals are from the Unicorn set. Size reference:
  14. That's just what I was thinking. From my experience, it's faster (and less expensive) to try out different dimensions and shapes with cheap foam than HD urethane. Once you have the basic proportions nailed down, you transfer them to the Renshape. In my university days, I used extruded polystyrene foam (XPS or EPS) from DIY shops.
  15. I know you know what you're doing, but wouldn't it be quicker to build a rough foam mockup of the more complicated parts to get a grip on the design?
  16. Already posted in the Playarts thread, but I figured they should be here, too. Briareos looks killer, Deunan... not so much.
  17. Deunan looks like a cosplayer, but Briareos rocks!
  18. I highly recommend the 1/72 Hobby Boss Rafale. The quality of the finely engraved details is easily on the same level as modern Hasegawa products, and it comes at a very affordable price. The only letdown are the decals; I got a third party sheet for my kit.
  19. The little guy is almost complete.
  20. Let's hope the success of "Gravity" opens some doors here.
