  1. That was a member of the Soloturk acrobatic team. Here's another take: Pretty nifty paintjob, btw:
  2. You might want to check just how many physical sets or partial sets were built for the prequels. I doubt that the Abrams' movie will have a significantly different ratio here, nor that it will be crucial for the quality of the movie. The actors were lost mainly because Lucas is terrible as a writer and in directing humans, and the green screen scenes didn't make it easier for them. And I'd rather have a spectacular CG scenery than a brewery standing in for a spaceship engine room.
  3. Good & quick work, Sir. I just checked this against the Hasegawa prototype, which looks a lot sleeker than the YS kit. It will be interesting to see how the final kit will turn out.
  4. Ladies and Gentlemen, have some Vulcan.
  5. Will you go for a weathered or factory fresh look? - First paint on the Harrier today:
  6. I bought a stash of the HGUC Unicorn decals that I can use at leisure on Katoki designs.
  7. So instead of an overpriced F-16 derivate the JSDF will develop an overpriced F-22 derivate?
  8. I agree that the HGUC Victory is one of Bandai's best efforts. The only point where it's lacking is the hands, they're slightly too big, and I wish Bandai would offer more variety other than the weapon holding fist that just looks stupid if it doesn't hold anything. The kits from AGE and 00 had better offerings there. On my model, I replaced the hands with Builder's Parts pieces, they still could be a little smaller.
  9. Those gimbals soften changes in orientation, but wouldn't your body still be affected from the centrifugal g-forces and acceleration?
  10. More likely, the Jehuty, while an excellent sculpt, had a not so well balanced price/size ratio.
  11. Well, the source material was already there, it's not like they desperately had to make up a story. I also quite liked the Dame to kill for comic, but I think the first movie was already a stretch of what works in a comic-to-movie translation, and that quickly wore off with the second film.
  12. We're still waiting for the chinese YF-23...
  13. Beautiful retro-80s song, with a free russian SF-clip on top:
  14. PG hype aside, I really like the new MS from G-Reco: http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/不斷更新-2014年11月21日-11月24日-gunpla-expo-world-tour-japan-2014-bandai展品-模型-gundam-reconguista-in/
  15. not to mention that it looks already busy enough (in a good way) Trek-style aztek panels with different shades of glossiness/pearls might work, though.
  16. In the current photos, the PG Unicorn does not provide the instant PG-look, especially versus the newer, highly detailed MGs like the Sazabi or Nu Gundam ver.Ka. But let's wait until some decent modelers get their hands on the kit.
  17. The small decals look pretty blurred, so I'm actually interested in aftermarket sets myself. There's also no decal for the explosive cord in the canopy, but I noticed it isn't that prominent on the earlier Harriers anyway, so I'll just leave that off.
  18. This is the 1/72 Esci GR 3. Despite the "laser nose", it's a small bird, shorter than an F-16. The kit has fairly good surface details, but be prepared for some putty work to blend in the forward section. I also lengthened the nose about 2 mms.
  19. Riobot Anubis on display. I love the toned down colors.
  20. The PG really needs an upgrade with the RG's proportions.
  21. Latest photos from Rosetta show the "footsteps" of Philae on the comet where it bounced off. They say it got all planned experiments done before the power went down.
