  1. Most likely a swarm of drones
  2. Sikorsky video is up on their twitter page. That's one sleek machine. https://twitter.com/Sikorsky
  3. Finally, something new under the skies!
  4. Any filthy rich members around here? We need to build a Macross Museum around this piece.
  5. From their homepage:
  6. Swedish kit maker Tarangus promises us that their 1/48 Viggen is just around the corner and has published a nice online reference gallery: http://www.tarangus.se/all-new-viggen-model/reference-gallery-ja37-viggen/
  7. Part of it looks like the SF movie I've always wanted to see since I read Moebius, Druillet and all the Metal Hurlant/Heavy Metal comics in the 80s. But Mila Kunis still does nothing for me, and the movie still could be a case of "too much of everything". After all, it's maybe the beginning of a new wave of "Space Operas" (that begun with GotG) that will follow the "Superhero" season.
  8. I think I've seen this before in this thread...
  9. New Star Destroyer pic: https://www.facebook.com/amiamijapan/photos/a.954910841191496.1073742336.345232028826050/955053344510579/
  10. It's a good kit, but the construction is a pain. And here's a glimpse at the Gerwalk:
  11. ...and on doomed projects.
  12. Play Arts Vader - I think this is how Vader would look if current generation concept designers had a go at the character. "We have HD, so we need to fill the screen with textures and stuff"
  13. In the movie "Lebanon" (see above), the camera doesn't leave the tank for the whole movie - except for one crucial moment.
  14. It's my impression that a tank is a very bad place to be in in a conflict. You're basically a big, relatively slow moving target, and there's all kind of high- to low-tech stuff out there to kill you.
  15. Whoa! http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=201134 (Sorry if this has already been posted)
  16. To be honest, the live action Yamato movie looked like a fan project. Maybe it would have worked as an animated feature, but even if you're accustomed to the japanese over-acting, it was hard to watch. Yamato deserves a better adaption.
