Right now I'm at the point in The Last Hope where Edge and Reimi are doing a recon mission to locate SRF-005. Got a few Battle Trophies, too. Had I known that the entire party got experience points for opening chests, I would've held off opening the ones around the SRF-003 Calnus until I got Reimi into my party . Oh, well, I have to remember that for the second playthrough.

Robotech and HG License Debates

Like the people over there who haven't even read the Art books and take the Robotech series at face value. The reason why I got permabanned over there is because I published a joke over there that Steve took offense to (that, and the moderators didn't like my opinion of their handling of the Eternity storylines, namely the Malcontent Uprisings line. The new comic line from Wildstrom was just the final nail in the Robotech coffin for me). I wasn't really offended by the comment, I just don't like being pigeonholed in a blanket statement. News from the Robotech.com front: Doug Bendo got his ass banned ages ago for flaming Seto. -

I found C.J Cherryh's Chanur series to be quite entertaining. The Pride of Chanur Chanur's Venture The Kif Strike Back Chanur's Homecoming Chanur's Legacy I don't think there's more in the series, but hopefully Cherryh comes around to wirte more stories set in the Compact area of the Union/Alliance/Earth universe. -
But you gotta admit, MD Geist's RPA does look rather cool (his Death Force Armor's ugly, though).

Well, at least the Item Creation in The Last hope there is no chance of failure when making an item. I do have one complaint about The Last Hope, though. Welch Vineyard. God, what a bitch. All I'll say is that they picked the perfect actress to protray her. I'd much rather deal with the Till the End Of Time version of her. This version of her reminds me of, dare I say it... I do like the fact that the used Michael McConnahie as the voice for Commander Kenny (any relation to Ronixis or Claude Kenni, by any chance?) Another thing, Edge Maverick certainly does look a lot like Claude, doesn't he? Ancestor, maybe?

I had the displeasue of being at Robotech.com when that douche-bag first showed his ugly face. That moron hasn't even read Robotech Art 1 or 2. Schmuck. Should've called himself Doug Bendover. -

I was referring to the English Robotech name for the episode (I have yet to see the original Macross series, having trouble hunting down all 6 of the ADV DVD's and all). Protoculture Addicts is the title of the official Robotech fanzine (a referance to protoculture being a fuel source in the Robotech sereis). -
Look again at the topic post. Tri-Ace ported the first game to the PSP and gave it the subtitle "The First Departure". I just listed the games in the story's chornological order.

They should've called this movie "Attack of the Blue Penis Man". How this movie avoided an "X" rating is beyond me. I saw this thing in IMAX, and believe me, it spoiled me. My views on the characters- Rorscharch- Christ, how a sociopath made it as a hero is beyond my. This guy was damned near psychopathic. Modern Silk Spectre- the only woman I know of who can kick ass wearing both leather and lace. Modern Night Owl- one of the two members of the group not completely (screwed) in the head (Silk Spectere being the other). The Comedian-This guy was a psychopath in the truest sense of the word. Dr, Manhattan-A guy who became so seperated from the human race he's more comfortable nude (I'm not kidding, his schmuck is in just about an eighth of the scenes). Oh, he can control matter by the way. ? (I can't remeber his name)-This guy has the biggest Alexander the Great complex I've ever seen (either that guy or Julius Ceasar, take your pick). The story was great, and the speceal effects blew my mind. It's a good way to get into Watchmen if you have'nt read the graphic novel. A word of warning if you pick up the DVD - Don't let your kids see this one.

Even harder to believe that they had a mecha from Orguss make an appearance in the episode "Force of Arms" (check out Protoculture Addicts #6 for more information about this little tidbit). -
You have to remember that the new Front Mission game always was going to be online only battling it out over Huffman Island. Hell, the footage I saw a few years ago on X-Play showed that it was going to be a third-person action shooter. It's kinda hard to translate turned-based stragety into an online experience. My only question is does this take place during the first or second Huffman Wars?

It was the third Romero movie (I don't think Romero was a part of the Night of the Living Dead numbered sequels, I could be wrong, though), and yes, they tried to domesticate the zombies in that one. The gore factor was really upped in that movie. A list of Romero's movies "Night of the Living Dead" (the classic b&w film) "Dawn of the Dead" (the one without Ving Rames) "Day of the Dead" "Land of the Dead"

Yes it was; I just fixed my first post in this topic. All the Star Ocean games are part of a huge story spanning over 700 years.

Well let's look at their track record... Baldur's Gate series. Neverwinter Nights 1 Icewind Dale 1 Knights of the old Republic Jade Empire Those Canuks from Alberta can and do kick some serious ass!!! If you have a choice between the game, pick up the platinum edition, there are a lot of goodies on that bonus disk, the biggest of which is the Bring Down the Sky quest.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope (X-Box 360 exlusive so far, sorry PS3 and Wii owners) Star Ocean: First Departure (PSP, damn them for not releasing this thing on the other consoles) or Star Ocean (Super Famicom) Star Ocean: The Second Story (PS-X, PSP) Star Ocean: Blue Sphere (Game Boy Color, only game never to see the western shores) Srar Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2, looks to be the end of the series, even though I haven't beaten the thing) I have one thing to say about the Star Ocean series: It is one of the best RPG's ever to grace the public. From the Item Creation (Tri-Ace games are known for this feature, see Infinite Undiscovery) to the emotional factors, this series is one of those that will stand the test of time. Any thoughts on the series? I just started on The Last hope and hope to have a full review sometime soon.

Sequels that we DON'T want to see!!
Wanzerfan replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I was talking about David Lynch's cinema masterpiece, not the books nor the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries Dune and Children of Dune (which cobbled together Dune Messiah and Children of Dune). The movie left no real room for a sequel. -
Try George Romero's Day of the Dead. They actually showed the military leader being ripped in half while he's still concious.

I was one of the lucky few who saw the uncut episode where Optimus Primal actually impales Tarantulus with one of his own weapons in Season 1. I may be a sick bastard for saying this, but one of my favorite secenes is... Well the quote says it all (as well as the quivering anus). "Wild bean vines. Hard to digest."

Sequels that we DON'T want to see!!
Wanzerfan replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I was making a joke saying that only people of Communists nations would agree with making a sequel to Battlefield Earth. (I'm a conservative, and I'll take any chance I get to poke fun at the left {I may be taking a chance of being spanked for saying this}). Sometimes my humor is a little difficult to digest. Bersides, I don't think L. Ron Hubbard was a Communist, just some guy who didn't like doctors (the guy is taking a dirt nap, after all). Another tilte not to make a sequel of: Dune. You can't improve on perfection, after all.
