Trust me to screw up a Modern Warfare 2 referance. Junpei's name in Battle of the Planets was Keyop, and boy did they pick an actor with an annoying voice to do the talent.

The only good thing about "Amazon Women on the Moon" was the Arsenio Hall bit. -
What a boner of a name that film had for American release "Attack of the Bionoids".

I've been playing Mass Effect 1 in order to get a clear save file for part 2 and I have to tell you, the mission on Luna was a real bitch. I suggest you save right after you clear each bunker, and save the one with the rocket drones for last. It took me several reloads to clear the freaking thing.

Jesus, that guy must be a Jedi to nail that poor sap with a knife, without the UAV up!!! "Impressive. Most impressive." -
What logo are you talking about? If it's the logo up in the left hand side of the forums banner, that logo belongs to Macross through and through.

Let me guess, you emptied a Steyr Aug magazine at a foe who was weilding one of those things. -
Riddick's sh*t doesn't stink, and you're not Riddick!!! From what I've read so far, I would probably like Borderlands' version of Pandora better than Cameron's

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

I heard Richard Hatch was trying to revive the original storyline for a new series (I think it was back in the nineties, don't quote me). I guess that plan fell flat on it's face. -
Here's one I ran into when I was playing Modern Warfare 2. Now correct me if I'm wrong, if the multiplayer map "Quarry" takes place in Brazil, why is it that all the signs there are written in Spanish? They should be written in Portuguese!!!. I guess Infinity Ward flunked World Histroy Class, because Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese, not the Spanish. If you're going to have games in real-world locations, you can at least get the language right. Not all countries south of the Rio Grande speak Spanish, Belize being another example, its official language is English.

I somewhat prefer the classic series, mainly because it is so close to Larson's original story (he wrote a series of BSG novels around the time the TV series came out). If I can remember correctly, the Cylons were originally not robots, but a bunch of megalomanic reptilians who used the Centurions to try to subjigate the galaxy. Also in the novels, Little known fact: the actor who voiced Lucifer in the original BSG played Dr. Smith in the classic "Lost in Space" television series. -

I don't know if this is related, but... My brother's borrowing the three live action Death Note Japanese DVDs. I couldn't get into the anime, because it was a little too weird for my tastes. Are the three L.A. DVDs the same as the anime? -
"Robotech II: The Sentinels" was a train wreak to begin with. When Matchbox decided to get the hell out of the deal, they had a whole bunch of scripts that were in at least the first draft stage (the original storyline of the Sentinels is detaled very well in Robotech Art 3). At least the McKinney authors tried to salvage what they could of the story (which wasn't much to begin with); it was a decent salvage job, though, but nothing to write home about. As for The End of the Circle the authors couldn't get enough decent material for a full novel and borrowed very heavily from Peter Pan.

At least it's not as useless as it was in Modern Warfare 1 (where you get a chance to nail anyone in your crosshairs before you croak). In MW2 you've got a chance to drag yourself to safety until you recover and stand up. -

Can't go wrong with Iggy Pop. Lou Reed "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" Gold Earring "Twilight Zone" Judas Priest "You've Got Another Thing Coming", "Green Menalishi" Survivor "In the Burning Heart" Journey "When the Lights Go Down in the City", "Wheel in the Sky", "Open Arms" (lord, there are a lot of good songs) Foghat "Slow Ride" Deep Purple "Smoke on the Water" Cream "Sunshine of My Love", "White Room" Mountain "Mississippi Queen" Anyone see the original "Motza and Metal" on VH-1 Classic? Seeing Scott Ian Rosenfeld with the likes of Leslie West, John French Segall and Dee Snyder (the only non-Jew) was a riot.

Battlestar Galactica Discussion III

I knew he played one of the two losers, I just couldn't remember which one, since it's been at least a few years since Sci-Fi aired it. All I'll say is that I bailed on the series when I saw On the other hand, I did see the finale. My thoughts on the series finale is that the producers said "We need an episode featuring Starbuck; let's see if we can get Dirk Benedict to save the series." Sad to say not even "The Face" could save it from becoming a train wreck, even though it was the best episode, in my opinion. Thank god the the network pulled the plug before developing a case of "Galactica 1980 rot". -
Actually, according to the novels, and maybe the comic books (I havent gotten past Book II, issue 5) Breetai hooks up with a female Zentraedi by the name of Kazianna Hesh. Angelo Dante hooks up with Gnea in the book The End of the Circle. I saw something on some network years ago about the making of the movie. During the scene where Judge Reinhold's character's sister gets pregnant, there was a shot of the guy full monty, albeit briefly. The MPAA saw the flick and threatened an X rating if the scene wasn't cut, the reason they gave the director was that a shot of an exposed penis signified power. Needless to say the shot was cut. The funny thing is that the director of the flick was a woman.
