The only movie I know of that pulled off going exactly by the book was "The Maltese Falcon". From what I've heard the script was almost word for word the spoken dialogue of the book.

That was Cam Clarke ???!!! You're shitting me. I have to check the credits in the manual to make sure I'm not losing my f*cking mind. Son of a bitch, I didn't recgnize him, since I'm so used to the way he sounded when he did Leonardo (original TMNT), Maximillian Sterling (Robotech), Keneda (original Akira dub), Ryudo (Grandia II), and Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid). Damn, that man has a very broad vocal range.
-
I'm suprised that the son of a bitch didn't ask if you swallowed, by the way he structured that comment.

Well, at least they kept David Keith on, as well as the actress who did Tali, whom I liked. was a big suprise, though (I saw a few trailers, so we don't hae the game yet). If they have Cam Clarke (a.k.a. James Flinders), Simon Templeman (gotta love Kain; "Cast him in.") or Michael Bell, I would be a happy man.

FURIOUS OVER NEW CONAN (Conan the Barbarian remake)
Wanzerfan replied to Agent ONE's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That is exactly what Howard's vision of Conan is. He had a head on his shoulders, it's just he didn't really trust magic is all; he had some very nasty experiences with sorcerers from what I've heard (I have a copy of Conan and the Sorcerer, illustrated by Estaban Moroto; very good artwork, even though the Cimmerian is a little overbuffed in the art). -
It wasn't really Lynch's fault, he just stepped into a real mess. Gubaba has more information on that front, pointed out somewhere in "The Worst Film of All Time" thread.

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time

No sh*t. God, that commercial had more bullshit than the pot (as in garden container, weedheads) factory that Mike profiled on Dirty Jobs. -
The Amazing Spider-Man, on Blu-Ray/DVD Nov. 9, 2012

Hell, Hackman made a better Luthor. Why they had Ned Beatty in the Reeve movies I would never know. Oh, I remember now: comedy relief!!! -
The word is "secession". At least Texas has a state consitutional prohibition of a state income tax!!!

If the guy on the left's supposed to be T. R. Edwards, then I can say they really screwed him up (even more so than the WildStorm reboot) I'm more used to his Robotech Art 3/Malibu Graphics version, He's too damned buff in those WildStorm pieces of sh*t. Here's a pic of how I remember him, although not a very good one.

You get the Blood Dragon armor for Mass Effect 2 by inputting the code on the other side of the card that had the Stone Prisoner DLC code in your Dragon Age: Origins case (you have to do it in DA:O, though, it seems that Mass Effect 2 reads your DA:O data).

My brother pre-ordered his copy over at the Blockbuster where he works. I don't know if he got the Collector's edition or not.
-
Don't let him see Macross II. He definatly won't like Hibiki's hairdresser friend.

Look, Cliffjumper's channeling Ash!

I saw Beowulf in digital 3-D over at the Rave theater, and I have to say it was done pretty well. I'ts nice to see a film without the indigo haze.

Nice one of Maetel. For the post above that one, who the hell is that one? She looks like she has a booster system attached to each of her shoulder blades. What is it with the Japanese and the ass shots?

It must be nice being a moderator, being able to get past the language filter. -

Masochists, I take it? -
There's still a Domono's franchise on the corner of F.M. 529 and Eldridge Pkwy. here in Houston, TX. I don't know if it's still open or not, though. We don't order Domono's anymore; we go the Russo's New York Pizzeria route. Edit: I saw a Domono's Pizza commercial today, so they're still in business.

Trust me, I've definately seen worse.

Worst science ficton book of all time.
Wanzerfan replied to Wanzerfan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No I can't. Also notice the beer in its right paw? Like I said, I bailed about 10 pages into the first chapter, the editing was that bad. It might have something with a kidnapping plot, but I didn't get far enough in the story to find out. I did read the capsule on the back cover, though. That was the only reason I picked it out. God, that book was almost enough to induce an anuryism (sp.?). All I can say now is that book made almost no sense. -

God, that's the effing book . I checked that one out in the HCC (Houston Community College) library, and regretted I did so when I started reading it. Needless to say I returned it a few days later. Jo Clayton, huh? Now I know who to avoid like the freaking plague . -

I see you survived your foray into 1980 with you sanity reletively intact, Gubaba. That series would drive the most level-headed person almost insane. -

True, Keaton was certainly one of the best movie Batmans, a close second to Bale. -
My pick would be Shadow of the Warmaster. It's so bad that I can't remember the author's name. I couldn't even get throught the first chapter, not because the story was bad, far from it. It was because the damned thing was so badly edited that it was freaking unreadable!!! I guess the guys who edited and published it didn't have access to a copy of The Modern Writer's Handbook. The errors were so numerous, I can only list a few. Let's see run-on sentences from hell, almost page-lenghth paragraphs that jumped subjects back and forth at the drop of a hat, as well as many others. Your choices?
