  1. That's a very nice collection, Maiden!
  2. So, I was looking for something and was digging through a box o' crap and look what I found. I forgot that I even had these! Have to be from the late 80's early 90's. Also found a bunch of anime mechanical pencils. Ahh, nostaglia......
  3. Wow, that looks great! Fantastic build....
  4. I bought one off of Ebay. It is a Malaysian version DVD from Speedy Video studio. Picture quality is OK but very watchable. I've seen a lot better but I've also seen much worse. I paid $15USD shipped so I'm OK with it. The DVD is anamorphic widescreen but I had to turn on the "full" mode on my Sony 52". Apparently the disc does not have to code to trip the "full" mode on the TV; no big deal. I tried "upsampling" to 1080P on my Classe cd player but it didn't really make a difference. Audio is good. It has both DolbyDigital and a DTS 5.1 soundtrack. I thought the English subtitles provided were excellent. Whomever translated the Japanese soundtrack has a good command of the English language. Overall, I'm happy with the disc. I'd recommend it...until something better comes along!
  5. Sorry. here ya go....
  6. Dang, there are a lot of very cool screen shots here! Here's what I run mostly......
  7. That looks really cool. Great work!
  8. Got mine the other day. Kit looks awesome! Nice resin with very clean lines. Outstanding job...
  9. That's a great collection. We need better pictures!!!
  10. Ohhh, I can't wait to get this kit. "I'm as giddy as a school girl!"
  11. I'm in for one. Thanks for offering this kit. I've wanted one ever since I sold off my old Hobby Base kit. $500 dollars for the old Hobby base kit? Wow...
  12. Picked up another DVD to add to the collection. I bought this mainly for FlashBack 2012. And for $25.00 it wasn't a bad deal considering it also has DYRL, Macross II, Macross Plus, Macross Dynamite 7 & Macross Zero. For me this was a good deal because, with the exception of DYRL and FB2012, I have never seen the other included videos. So far I've watched Macross II and Macross Zero. I didn't think Macross II was anything great while I really enjoyed Zero. I've yet to watch the others. DYRL and FB2012 both looked good. I was hoping that DYRL was going to be an anamorphic transfer, but alas, it was not to be. Oh well, just have to wait for the bluray.....
  13. Amen! The very first bluray I purchased and viewed was Blade Runner. It was like a religious experience. The opening hades shot was so clear that it was incredible. As for a sequel/prequel...it has disaster written all over it. Blade Runner chewed up a few different screen writers and they had a novel to work with as source material. What will the sequel/prequel have? I've read some of the post Blade Runner novels and they are OK but nothing to write home about. My gut feeling...leave it alone.....
  14. Hey, don't be hating on us tube guys! I really enjoy my Cary integrated. 40 watts per channel of pure triode sound. Mmmmmm, triode....
  15. Here is my collection of Mari Ijima cd's. I have a few holes in the collection that I'm currently attempting to fill...
  16. The disc in the player is a cd-r of the original. I use Nero and it goes online to find title and track info. There are some cd's that have track/artist info on the disc; but they are rare birds. Classical cd's seem to use it quite frequently...
  17. Here it is in all its glorious aluminum beauty...
  18. Dang Shaorin, that CD player is OLD SCHOOL! I love it! It reminds me of my old Sony CDP-X777ES cd player. That thing was a tank too. But not as heavy as my Sony SCD-1 SACD player that weights almost 60lbs. BTW, that's a nice collection of music and audio gear....
  19. Here is the back cover and the inner pull sheet. Hope this helps?...
  20. This is the only Macross book I have. It's more an art book about Mikimoto's work for Macross, Megazone23 and Orguss. I had the Macross "Gold" book but sold it many a moon ago... ken
  21. I only have a two DVD's of DYRL and a VHS of Flashback 2012. ken
  22. Wow, lots of nice collections here. I don't have much but I thought I'd share. ken
  23. Thanks for the replys. Is the Monsters in Motion piece really that bad? I've never seen one. I looked on their site but the picture is small and bad.
  24. Hi all. New here after discovering this site a short time ago. Very nice site! I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. Back in the late 80's I bought and built a VX-4 PVC garage kit from Japan. It was the new fighter from Flashback 2012. Does anyone remeber who made this? I doubt it is still available but is there another manufacture producing a VX-4? I traded both of mine off years ago and regret it now. I always thought the VX-4 was a good looking fighter and wanted to build another one. (Sorry for the crappy quality of the picture. It was taken with slide film and scaned). Thanks!!!
