  1. Where's all of the above? I voted other.
  2. updated: 1/72= 2 1/60= 2 1/48= 5
  3. It's not too bad. The only thing I don't like about the FX Master replicas is you can't hit anything harder than a Nerf ball with it. When I went to the horror convention, there was this table where these people (sure wish I remembered their name) made ones you can actually "duel" with. I saw the lady smack it against the corner of a cinderblock wall and the thing still worked fine. The "blades" are made to last for a few years through abuse and you can interchange the blades for replacement or color (unlike the FX replicas, once they die, that's it. My friend Mike's lasted about 3 monthes.) Of course the $500-700 price tag versus the $150 of the FX replicas may be a big deciding factor. Oh yeah, the more expensive model's hilt disassembles so that you can customize the look and length of the hilt.
  4. That sounds really stupid considering in all previous movies, both species prefer warm climates.

My thoughts exactly ! Another vote here for the D
  6. Don't worry, I'll make sure you get some.
  7. You've gone from suck to blow.
  8. These are just proofs, I will have all three.
  9. I was pretty impressed myself. She also said she'd be more than happy to do other repros. Maybe I'll do a poll.
  10. Had to make sure that was going to work. Cut out detail 2:
  11. Alright, I think I worked the kinks out, sorry about that last pic. The first is of these three is an over view of what they look like. The second and third are to give you an idea of how they're cut. You can see in the glare. That's why they're so blurry. Overview: Cut out detail 1:
  12. Whoa, those pictures were a LOT bigger than I thought. Sorry mods and people with dial up. I'm gonna go shrink the rest before I upload them. Sorry,
  13. Boy, it took no time at all to bury this on page three. Anyways, we have proofs! (I can't believe how fast she is.) This first one is just to show you what the proofs look like. As you can see, the font for "Henshin Robo" was altered. That part was only left in so we could tell the difference between the three kinds when they were done. Also, the bottom where it use to say "Gakken" and the model #s have been cropped too, since they weren't really nessecary. The 2 tailfin tip stickers at the bottom right are a little off. Mary said she would've fixed it, but she really wanted to have something to show me last night. She's correcting those today. Anyways, enough of my yapping, here they are the overview. edit: Hey! there are "remove attachment" and "replace with new attachment" choices in the edit screen now. Cool. There was an overview here, but it was HUGE. I'll remove it so as not to screw over the dial-up people. Go further down the thread to see the normal sized pics.
  14. I still think they look cool as "brownies"
  15. This Invision is pretty cool. It's like a good pop song, familiar yet different. Emoticons and code buttons are much easier to use. Everthing's nice and quick too. Thanks Shawn these are great-->
  16. Name: Tom (duh!) Height: 6' 3" Weight: btwn 195 and 205 last time I checked Age: 28 Occupation: Freight forwarder working toward customs brokering Location: New Jersey Taken in the courtyard of my old apartment. I'm the one on the left.
  17. I couldn't upload mine at first, but then I shrank my photo just a tiny bit and it worked just fine.
  18. The nosecone/cockpit for the VF-1D is more streamlined, which means it can't be used for the VE and VT. Maybe but it looks like they used the same nose cone for them all on the 1/60ths so theyd probably do the same with the 1/48ths Hybridchild They didn't. The VT and VE's coming out have bubbley nosecones. Not the best sculpt, but certainly different than the VF-1D. Pic of VT-1 from Valkyrie-Exchange (www.valkyrie-exchange.com): Pic of VF-1D from Jawjaw's website (www.superjaw.com): If you notice, the back of the canopy doesn't even line up the same way.
  19. The nosecone/cockpit for the VF-1D is more streamlined, which means it can't be used for the VE and VT.
  20. I've always thought this would be a cool feature for any valk release...often contemplated making a custom that would do that, just never got around to it... jwinges made one that clips on to the arm of a 1/55. He had pics of it and everything (on the old boards). He also mentioned he was planning on recasting them. If they make the orange 1/48 VF-1D, they should make a "brownie" or "low-viz" version too. It would be out of character for Yamato to not try and get more than one paint scheme out of a 1/48 design, especially since they'd have to redesign the nosecone, chestpiece, and scuplt a new head.
  21. Until then, you guys can always go to: www.robsthingies.com and look under "Cheng's place". Rob was nice enough to copy WM's VE-1 and YF-19 build up threads over there and edit out all the replies. Even though it's just copied, it's still quite a bit of work and it's work I don't think Rob gets enough credit for doing.
  22. She says if these turn out good and thing go off without a hitch, she'd definitely be interested in making other repros. If someone wants to loan them to me, I can ask her to start them after these are done.
  23. I'm pretty sure it's suppose to be: 001-Skull Leader 101-Hikaru VF-1J 111-Max VF-1A 112-Kakizaki VF-1A 202-Max VF-1J 303-Milia VF-1J Also here's the color scheme as done by Crazy Canuck (I believe): edit: Take note of the disclaimer that this is not official. It looks pretty damn accurate to me though. Go here to see the rest of his renditions of the color schemes: http://vaxxine.com/BLAST/macross/schemes/ Good luck. Can't wait to see it.
  24. Well alright. As some of you may remember from the old boards, before it went down I was talking about making reproductions of the 1/35 Gakken Legioss/Alpha stickers. Well, since the MW boards were down, I posted a progress report over at Valkyrie-Exchange.com. Essentially, I'm too damn lazy to type over again so here's the cut and paste from over there: Hopefully, I'll have more good news and the price by mid week, next week. As it comes closer to looking like they'll be completed, I will put up a new thread in "for sale" for accepting orders.
