I know these models might not be "canon", but I always liked the way the Strike Packs looked on the VF-1Js and the VF-1D:

haterist wrote up the two solutions people came up with about halfway down his review in the Toy Review Section here--------> http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...=ST&f=18&t=1987 I hope one of those solutions solves your problem.

I'll drink to that. I play with my Macross toys, do you have a problem with that? <_< (edit: forgot the smiley)

It's funny 'cause it's true.

Well done, but I gotta agree with WDC about the cockpits being a bit big. Here's a CG cockpit done by Zetaplus (edit: Correction, it was done by brianw76, the thread was started by Zetaplus. My mistake.) in another thread that seems more "line-art" accurate: Whether you choose to change it is up to you. It looks great even if you don't. Gotta love Vermillion Squadron.

Hmmm....good question Flanders. Well since the controls of a Valkyrie are suppose to be very similar to standard controls for a fighter, I guess the easiest way to figure it out would be to ask some of the pilots and aircraft experts around here about whether or not southpaws currently have a hard time with the standards flight control set-up. As or the gunpod, I'd imagine it's usually fired right handed by the battroid, but could probably be fired lefty is the right arm was severed. I don't recall ever seeing any left handed characters in Macross, but then again, I've never really looked for it.

Gakken 1/35 Legioss/Alpha Repro Stickers

Alright, well it looks like it's been my fault all along that these aren't done yet. Mary finally confessed to me last night that she can't work with an open-ended deadline. All this time, I was trying to be nice when all along, I just really just had to rush her. Oh well live and learn. Anyways, I told her I "need" them by the 15th and she said she'll have them done. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope that she really meant it. I'll keep y'all updated soon, and don't worry, I plan on making plenty for everyone who wants them. Tom -
It stands for: For Another Sixty-Two dollars, your 1/48 can finally look like it's suppose to.

Think " My Country, 'Tis of Thee." Ahhh....it's even funnier now.

VF-1-still the best

You can find pictures of these in the magazine section of Macrossworld. (not here in the forums section, but on the actual site) I think they can all be found in back issues of Model Graphix. None of these are canon.

Gakken 1/35 Legioss/Alpha Repro Stickers

Yes I am doing all three, I'm hoping to have them all at the same time too. Congrats Pat!, on you finally joining the 1/35 Gakken club. The red one was the first one I ever had too. It's still one of my favorite toys to actually play with. -

My wife???? I must've been really drunk if I don't remember getting married. Mary's not my wife, just a good friend. She's rally nice, but not really my type. It's okay though Guppy, I'll thank her for you anyway, or at least I will when she finally finishes these. -
Hikaru's got some big hands to match his Valk's. You know what they say about guys with big hands. So that's why he's got two girls wandering through space with him.

Oh yeah, it is a custom. IIRC, the picture's from one of Blackaces convention reports. I believe it was Wonderfest 2003, but I'm not 100% about that. But its most definitely a custom. edit: dammit Alex, you're too damn fast.

In the series, UN Spacy never appears on the legs of Valks. They didn't start doing that until the first models started coming out. On the models, the Max VF-1J has white lettering, but the brownie VF-1A has black lettering. I guess its up to you how you want to do it. Personally, I'd go with white. As for the picture above. hehe, just when I thought MPCs couldn't look any worse.

"I see" said the blind man. Thanks Rob.

I think you guys are looking at what Super-O is trying to say from only two sides, end the thread and lock it or keep it open and continue what you're doing. That's completely missing the point of what Super-O is saying. He wants to keep this thread open and understands the need for it, but if what you're about to post was already covered in the past 10 pages, than it's really not worth posting, is it? Anyone who has a question about something already covered can just as easily be shown where it was already discussed instead of answering it again. If they haven't been keeping up with this thread or if they're just too lazy to go through and read the whole thread, then that really their problem.

Big hair was an 80's thing in general. Thank God that's over.

LOL. The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, etc. Anything else from Disney that we should know about? Masturbating Tarzan toys. I gotta leave before these kissing cousin justifications start grossing me out.

These pics are from the thread in the old forums, which are down right now. If these are already uploaded somewhere else, let me know so I can link them instead of taking up more space. I scanned through the magazines but didn't see them.

Just to piss you off. Meeting at Yamato a few monthes ago- Design Team: So which one should we make, a Low-Vis VF-1A or an Angel Birds VF-1A? Board of Directors: Hmmm, well, which one does Alex want more? Design Team: Our research and spys at Macrossworld say it's probably the Angel Birds. Board of Directors: Low-Viz it is. Make it so. Seriously though, the TV style Valks are a little different than the DYRL style ones. Different enough that they had to resculpt some of the parts. (ie. new cockpit as seen in Grahams thread, and IIRC, the arms are slightly different too.) Since Yamato has just started making TV style 1/48s, there's a few VF-1s they have to make first. The Hikaru VF-1J is tied with Skull Leader for most recognized from the TV series so they had to put that one out first. (plus, everyone would lynch them if they didn't come out with a different head this time). Maybe after that or after M&M VF-1Js, they'll come out with a resculpted TV style VF-1A head for the 1/48s. That way they could do Max and Hayao's VF-1As and maybe a limited edition Angel Bird.
