Sooooo... he basically did what the Oscar Academy does every year and chose a bunch of winners that in no way reflect most of what popular choice was? Then again all awards are heavily swayed by the people judging unless it is a popular vote sort of thing... which most awards are not. No, he didn't basically do what the Academy does. The Oscar's are voted on my thousands of industry people, his awards are based on only one vote, his. Your analogy is just plain silly. Of course it's silly, that's why he used this to end his statement-----> Free toys don't make sense? ? I must be in hell. Nah, more likely a terriblely overrated waste of time and space like Titanic would end up winning a bunch of Oscars. Oops, bad example.......

The word "official" is overused in day to day stuff as much as "contraversial" is overused in commercials for movies that aren't even out yet. They've lost all meaning to me. A7 does more anime reviews here than anyone, so I see no harm in him starting this topic. It's been pretty dead around hear lately anyways. (Everyone's too busy watching Ep. 3 of Mac 0 to chat these days. ) Just don't pay attention to the "O" word and enjoy the thread. It looks like fun.

Mount them to your 1/55s with magnets. Here's a whole thread started by Skull-1 about how to do it. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...&f=4&t=2021&hl=

Finally.....and of course, it was here at MW all along. Found this in the Graham's News section.....of course :

Your right, he's wrong. VF-0----swingbar VF-1----no swingbar Someone here might have the drawings of the VF-1 leg transformation process, (>EXO< might have it, IIRC.) or you can pick up either the Design Works or Perfect Memory. I'll look for it and post it if I find it. Couldn't find it yet, but Jarrod Trout's 1/72 Perfect Variable VF-1 (check it out, it's awesome) works pretty close to the same way. Imagine if there were a set of hydraulics attached to the each of the plates that move the legs forward. Dammit, someone's got to have that Design Works diagram saved on their PC.

I'll third that. She even takes the tiime to humiliate a dead Zentradi by crushing his skull underneath her foot. Yikes! Talk about issues. Total carnage. Even Hikaru couldn't believe it. Make that 4 votes.

I'm pretty sure he used one of the pilots from this set: Those other ones look cool too. They'd be nice for a diorama.

Gakken 1/35 Legioss/Alpha Repro Stickers
tom64ss replied to tom64ss's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just finally got her on the phone. She said the files are done and she's just working on fixing a few problems with the printing. I think she noticed a bit of a frustrated tone from me on the phone and she said that they should be done very soon. I hate waiting. -

Hello. I have a newer, more complete set (blue) that she gave me a few days ago, but they don't look nearly as crisp as the first set. I'd put some pics up, but I still don't own a digicam. Anyways, she noticed that they weren't as nice before I did and is working to fix the problem. I'll try and update soon. She's really starting to piss me off with how long she's taking. -
Problem is it's going to be almost impossible to match Mignola's style on film, his art is so distinctive... any attempt is gonna look half-assed. I loved the comic though, so hopefully it won't suck. Everything else looks great, it's just Hellboy himself that looks kinda weird... Isamu Atreides 86, there's an interview with Mike Richardson concerning Dark Horse's future film projects at Cinescape.com... no word on NextMen though. I wanna Mr. Monster movie.

Downloaded it last night. Thanks Spyke. Left it uploading for the next 10 hours too. I hope a bunch of y'all got to download it too. The episode was really damn cool. IMHO, it was more fast paced than the other two episodes because it seemed like it was over way too soon.

Oh, I see..... Yes, let's have some pictures of cross-dressing 1/48s.

There should be more than enough pictures in these threads that are already up: Topic 1 (Arm FPs pics on page 2.....edit: sorry, it's page 3 ) http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=3410 Topic 2 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...t=ST&f=4&t=3497 You can also go look at the pictures at Kevin's Valkyrie-Exchange: http://www.valkyrie-exchange.com/frames.html

I knew there had to be a better reason than just that stripe.

Disclaimer-All my VF-1J info is what I gathered from the pictures as I don't have one yet. Redesigned for TV Style: Extra, non-articulated hands Cockpit and Pilot Sculpt Arm armors Forearms (not really redesigned, but the DYRL 1/48s have a black stripe that goes the length of the forearm. The VF-1J has a stripe that's perpendicular to the DYRL style stripe, so a whole new mold for the arms had to be made. It's a very minor redesign.) Improvements: (All of these are on the Hikaru VF-1S too) Nosecone Wing flaps Material used for pilot Easier to open front landing gear doors Other Improvement on the Hikaru VF-1S, but not the VF-1J: Crooked Skull on tailfin straightened (VF-1J doesn't have skulls) The "Pimple" that was present on the Roy VF-1S head in gone too. Curved headrest Did I forget anything? I always feel like I forgot something.

Stooopid toy "blacklist" soccer mom poopoo!

I can't wait for 20 years to pass and all these over-protected children end up like Ed Gein. Maybe then parents will start to give there kids some credit for being smart enough to know the difference between toys and real life. -
I did, he seems harmless to me... I don't think it was him. Yes, and you propose we do nothing? Then, tomorrow, what happens when we read in the news that a 14 year old, from marywood country day school, has shot and killed some of his classmates. Sure, this is a long shot, but wouldn't it be better to err on the side of caution, possibly saving some lives, then doing nothing, and possibly allowing innocent people to die... Who suggested not doing anything? I think it was just someone else screwing around... IE one of his friends who knows his MW password. Ok, you may not have suggested directly that nothing should be done, but at least when I read your first response, it sounded like you weren't taking his post seriously - 'The threat is so obviously fake... A true killer wouldn't come here to brag, where no one would be connected to the actual victims.' Though you may not have meant for your original post to come off in that manner, this is a text base communication medium, and posts can be interpreted in ways the original poster hadn't intended... Yeah, but Agent One didn't post that until 2 hours after Shawn had already contacted the school.

I've been looking everywhere for one of those. Now to find someone who'll buy my Gibson so I can get this beauty.

Stooopid toy "blacklist" soccer mom poopoo!
tom64ss replied to 91WhiskeyM6's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well....this pretty much is standard in our "pass the blame" minded country. Whatever happens, "it's someone elses fault". "My kid shot his eye out. It's the toy company's fault. Let's sue." "My kid is violent. It's the toy and TV company's fault. Let's sue." Yeah, right lady. Because it couldn't possibly be your fault for not paying attention to what your kid buys, plays with, or watches on TV. Why not teach children how not to hurt themselves and others with their toys instead of just saying "no, you can't play with it." How are kid's suppose to learn from that? Why don't you sit down and talk to you kid for once? One on one like a human being, instead of running around on your crusade with all the other housewives who are nelecting their children too. -
No prob. That site makes me drool.

Before I start, I'm not flaming anyone. I know from my last post it may seem like I think the 1/60s suck. I don't. I got a little out of hand last time because this otherwise normal discussion was brought down to the level of name-calling. I think this sentence explains both parts of the root of where I start to feel the need to oppose you. First, I admire you Aegis, for standing by your position, but it comes down to the plain and simple statement, Just because it seems impractical to you, doesn't mean it's impractical to the rest of us. We know how big it would be and yet there are many of us that still keep telling you that we'd prefer it in 1/48. Doesn't our opinion count as much as yours? Because a lot of your responses seem very condesending. I know some think we're a minority, but it seems to me that there are many more people who vocally want Mac+ toy in 1/48 than there are that want it in 1/60. Second, I know there would be ample details on a 1/60 YF-19, but why do you think there wouldn't be more on a 1/48. Even though the 1/60 YF-19 would as big as a 1/48 in overall size, the cockpit and pilot would still be 1/60 scale. You can't say that the cockpit's on the 1/60 VF-1s are even close to the detail in the 1/48s. How about being able to add the back seat? That would certainly be more likely to be found on a 1/48 toy. Opening hatches and and overly detailed extras just don't look "to scale" on a 1/60 toy IMO. My other point is that when people say "I don't want Yamato to only make it in 1/48, I wonder why the 1/72 toys just don't count to them. Lastly, I think the Q-rau is brought up because that toy is roughly the same size as a 1/48 YF-19 would be, so if that's not too big of a toy, the 1/48 Mac+ shouldn't be either. The Monster will be just that, a monster........................... I still want one though.
