Lift on the bootlegging/pirating ban

I assumed they would. I think the rule about bootlegs here is the same. Its tolerated a long as it's in the "dark corners of the board or over IM". -

Yes, you can, as long as, of course, what you are saying does not impinge another rights in anyway, or damage said person's reputation, but I digress. Talk about it? Fine. Use it? Not fine, right? Exactly. The link to steroidology.com is linking to a site that "discusses" steroids. It's kinda like the "Macrossworld of steroids". Now if you had linked us to a site that sells steroids, you'd probably be in trouble. -

Huh? So if I rip and distribute for free the Mospeda DVD set, how am I screwing BW? In a way, yeah, cause your not buying it from them. I know they dont distribute over here, but if you get an original, they see that money No man... BW has NOTHING to do with Mospeda. Mospeda was produced by some other company. ....and all rights for Mospeada now belong to Harmony Gold, both outside and in Japan. Big West has absolutley nothing to do with Mospeada. -
Robotech/Macross Article In FEB Newtype
tom64ss replied to BFG-1 Gigan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Obviously, most anime stores will carry this, but I've seen them at the video/DVD store "Saturday Matinee" in the malls around here. $10 for a magazine seems pretty steep to me. Nope, your ass looks big regardless of what pants your wearing. -
Now this has to be a joke. Mystery folder, probably a virus in it. I thought the same thing on page 7 of this thread, but apparently it's just a loop hole for saving on listing fees. Here's the quote of Monkey's answer as to why people make auctions like this.

I always look forward Noel's Wonderfest reports. The pictures are always so full o' purty things.

I say charge $15 a set and and have Rohby scratch build a 1/48 hand giving "the bird". Then everyone here can take a picture of their 1/48s giving the big FU. We can all send them by e-mail to HG, flooding their inboxes and by regular mail so that there's so many envelopes, they can't get out the front door. That'll teach them to steal our YF-19.

Not even the lightsaber, they get to be bludgeoned by a wooden sword. Either that or send Agent One in there with a bottle of Tums and lock the door. AAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHA!!! I'd gladly hurt some people, but I think this situation is just a case of sloppy judgement. If Yune did it, it was probably just an initial sketch like something as a concept... I mean it DOES look like crap, and Yune's art (though tends to be big boobed and american targeted) usually shows great artistic talent. If the 19 shows up in the comic, finished, then it will be time to unleash fan hell and we can not only set ME lose in LA hunting HG blood, we can also have a pizza delivered to Tommy's house every 15 minuites between the hours of 8PM and 5AM. ...and a basket of fresh made eclairs. Anyone see Van Wilder? I couldn't have said it any better myself..... No really, that's what I was thinking, but it would've taken me half a page to get the same idea across.

Cool. New stuff to read. Thanks Graham.

I dunno. The first releases of the Mac+ toys were packages in battroid mode and I've never seen any breakage problems because of it. (Once they were out of the packaging, it became a different story) The inter-package for Yamato toys are very secure because they're form fitted. However, I don't think it will save much room overall as the battroid modes are not usually as "tight" as the fighter modes. That and the fact that Yamato doesn't care. The fact is, if Yamato cared in the least about saving us money on shipping cost by making the packaging smaller, they could have done with the 1/48s what Bandai did with their reissues. (Packed with tailfins folded down and wings swept most of the way.) And yes, aesthetically, their fighter modes are much nicer to look at.

Geez guys, I'm as upset as the next guy that it's not going to be a Macross series, but I think I'll wait to actually see an episode (or at least some screen shots) before I decide if I like it or not. Wouldn't that be nice if this series rocks, has great mecha, and cool toys. It'd be especially satisfying to know that HG couldn't touch it. That means cheap (or at least cheaper) toys.

I don't have the file here at work with me. . . but I think the closing credits eventually show you what was used. The credits look very static, but they do progress. At the closing credits, it says: Lightwave3D 6.5 AfterEffects 4.0 RealExplosion

Is that Strike VF1S Hikaru a 1/48 or is that one of those super poseables? Damn very nice pose!!! I'm referring to the post on page 2. In case you were wondering! It's a kitbash of the Hasegawa Strike and the Battroid models. From a back issue of Hobby Japan to be specific.

Whoa.

Watched it last night. Damn that's cool!!! Thanks Shawn.

I think Robotech has a slight edge with their opening theme. I don't think it's anything to write home about, but the SDF Macross one is really corny. On the other hand, as much as I didn't like Minmay's songs in the series and DYRL at first, they really grow on you after a while. I find myself humming the tunes every once in a while now, and have really found the series even more enjoyable now that I like the songs. I've never like Minmei's song's in Robotech, never have, never will. They just suck.

I almost made that joke, but then I decided against it... Yes, better judgement goes right out the door when I'm REALLY bored at work. 4 days, 49 minutes until my first vacation in 6 years....woohoo!!

Ouch... that was a bit harsh. Azrael, his post is relevant simply because the book contains an interview with Shoji Kawamori and the F-14 Tomcat is an essential part of Macross now more than ever. Megaroad2012, welcome to Macross World. Thank you for the info. That book looks cool. Yeah, I gotta agree that was a little bit harsh. It's an interview with SK in a magazine about F-14s. If it's not relevant to Macross, what would they be interviewing SK for? Certainly not Escaflowne. Plus, with the F-14s making appearances in the beginning of Macross 0 and how much closer the VF-0 is to an F-14 than the VF-1 ever was, I'd say the F-14 is more important to Macross than ever. Oh yeah, Megaroad2012, welcome to Macross World.

also, "DIE, CAST!!!" is proabably what you would say right before gunning down all the cast members of a play, show, or movie. edit: still.....the lamest thread ever.
