Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures

I've never owned a Medicom figure but I've never seen anything of theirs I really like. Just something seems off about the way the clothes look and hang off the figures makes me not want to bother. Granted they concentrate on Anime type figures but even the Batman they put out doesn't look that great. I think they're overpriced in general. Does anyone own that Kaneda and Tetsuo figure? I think that one was a Bandai/Medicom collaboration though so it might not count. I wanted to pick those up but I'm scared I might be disappointed. -

At least the gold on the 25th Anniversary versions can be potentially taken off. Cleaning up a Nascar Valk is gonna be a nightmare!

Oh yeah...the 1/48s are certainly not ugly. I love the way they look (inaccuracies and all) and I'm keeping the one I have for good. I still agree that the 1/60 looks better over all though. The 1/55s are certainly ugly and the only thing they got going for them is nostalgia.

Y At MSRP or higher (or even lower); That's a possibility in a grey market for sure. We've all been talking about how NY gets their stock in this thread so that's an obvious possibility and we all know that. 'sides, Loop was just breakin it up with a little levity

The 2SS would give all of the others a run for their money from the looks of things. Plenty of Macross fans like the design well enough despite the vocal minority
