  1. And how do you even enforce that with a store in an entirely different country?Edit: ...but yeah, he's refering to the first shipping costs which is technically paid to the logistics company with a possible small margin added on top. Either the buyer loses this or the seller does. The service for shipment is already performed so there's no getting that back from the shipping company unless it was their mistake.
  2. This wait is agonizing...it better be here tomorrow
  3. In terms of refund, only what you initially paid. Any other hardships are out of their control so extra shipping costs and mental health reimbursement are out You at least got a refund for price of item in the bag though since Amiami already offered at least that.
  4. I would go for it all but request this through Paypal. Worst case is that Paypal agrees that Amiami only refunds the price of the item or only refunds partial shipping with the item. This might take a little longer than just agreeing to Amiami refunding the price of the item without shipping but it's pretty much the only chance you got if you want shipping costs too.
  5. I don't think it is to intentionally annoy but they could use a rewrite of those form letters they use so that it is a "softer" tone, if you understand what I mean. Either way, they lost customers due to policy.
  6. I stand corrected I don't want Paypal messing with my bank account so I only use my credit cards with them.
  7. ^^ Very true! If you are working with Amiami directly then they are able to refund you the price of the item minus shipping and Paypal will see this as a valid resolution of the dispute. If you want to try to get full refund, then work only through Paypal's dispute resolution if you can. You'll still have to ship the item back on your dime though
  8. To add to this, Paypal will refund whatever institution you inject the funds with...so credit card, bank, credit union, etc. They aren't gonna give you Paypal funbucks or something if you're worried.
  9. Amiami rejected or Paypal?
  10. You said your Paypal is tied to your bank account? I only have my credit cards associated but the advantage for me is that I have two avenues for a chargeback, Paypal and the credit card company. If Paypal sides with the seller (not as often as them siding with the buyer), I can still do a chargeback with the cc company. Banks can be a little tougher to deal with for something like this.
  11. You can try but I doubt they'll refund first.
  12. It's a hassle but you might want to file it anyway as a matter of course. Whether they accept the damage claim or not, you will at least have another party that can verify the condition so when it comes time to get the credit card companies involved it won't be just your word against Amiami's.
  13. Preorders must be coming up very soon then!

    Macross figures

Honestly, I'm a little relieved. I just hope they don't decide to release her in a month where I got a ton of preorders to pay for.
  15. It's gettin a little insane for sure. Let's bring it back
  16. This whole broken wing business has been intriguing though...I wonder how well those plastic shells keep the Valk in place during shipping. I think I mentioned it awhile back but the original VF-0S had problems with the vert stabs having broken tips...new out of the box. Anyone else remember that?
  17. I'll be sure to knock over my local liquor store if it's in poor shape! I'm sure they're insured for that kinda thing. Gotta get my money back somehows...
  18. I'm gonna be checking out this plastic closely when my two copies come in. It's been mentioned so much in the thread already.
  19. That "excuse" really is mindblowing though...
  20. I think as long as you provide sufficient evidence and the email responses, Paypal should side with you on this. They're known to side with the buyer in the majority of cases.
  21. How does Paypal work for chargebacks anyway? Do you email them the responses you get from Amiami? Or do you have to deal with Amiami through a Paypal response form?
  22. Doesn't matter if it's a first resort or last...like you said...it's dishonest (i.e. fraud).
  23. ...we now return you folks to your regularly scheduled program
  24. Wait...I didn't judge them on ANYTHING here! I'm judging what you suggested them to do. Man...did I just walk into some alternate universe or something? All I'm saying is don't involve HLJ in this. This should be between Amiami, Arcadia, Paypal, Credit Card Company/Banks and their customers. HLJ has nothing to do with their situation right now. That should be easy to understand, I hope.
  25. To be honest, I barely know them. I empathize sure. I hope they resolve it by contacting their credit card companies for a chargeback if Amiami doesn't make it right. Doesn't change the fact that your "justice" doesn't make any sense to me though.
