You're probably right. In any case, I want the one without horns, show accurate or not (screw anime accuracy).

To be clear, I want the TRUE canon-fodder one which didn't have horns if I recall correctly (which they arguably never made as a DX) and not the command-type (with horns) that this one is. Supposedly the one you posted a picture of is the Grace command-type version (like the S type Valks but not nearly as cool in my opinion). Like this one: http://www.mech9.com...fodder-version/ See? No horns and a nicer shade of green!

Since I missed the first one, I say redo the entire thing in version 2. I wanted the green one anyway (cannon fodder preferred because the horns look re-damn-diculous). I didn't care for the girly-man pilot and the purple color so I skipped on the first one. Nothing wrong with girly-man pilots but the character was ho-hum boring to me. Bobby kicked all kinds of ass and they should bring on a version 2 Quarter which is just wishful thinking on my part...but anyway...refocusing ...Looking back at the pictures, I don't care for the way battroid mode looks so bring on a version 2 for sure. I'll definitely buy the version 2 if done better...girly-man pilot, horns, purple color and all

I disagree with this because you can easily turn this the other way around. However to keep on topic... I have the VF-1S, 1J, and the 19S and they are the best Macross things I have in this scale. Nothing else in 1/100 Macross comes close. I love them to bits (despite a few things) and it's a real shame they killed the line. What I love: LOVE that dynamic A-stance of the 1S and 1J in battroid mode LOVE the size LOVE the 19S in fighter mode LOVE the 1S and 1J in battroid mode LOVE the box art and the magnet-y goodness of the flaps Hope that's enough LOVE for everyone but I could go on... It's all about LOVE guys

Hahah...every time you post these pics I keep thinking it's of some forgotten warehouse of really old Macross toys (in a way it is, I guess). You need to at least take out a couple of those toys from the boxes and put them on your desk or something, man.

Love this Valk and totally disagree about the Gobot comment. I think the battroid mode looks great even though I'm a fighter mode guy first and foremost.

BBTS order is cancelled for me. I just ordered a second one from HLJ because I could . So happy that visiting family in the south bay kept me up all night and I got back to SF just in time to see this.

I'm pretty sure all of that is collectively version 2. Version 2 in design/tooling, that is. We're looking for a version 3 now (I still love my version 2s, though).

I have one of these and that looks pretty authentic to me. I can't really tell if it is a knockoff (very doubtful it is). Just so you know, the letters looking "Chinese" are because they are supposed to. Japanese uses a lot of Chinese characters (Kanji). A lot of Yamato plastic trays aren't taped. Many of my Valks have no tape to remove from the trays, which I love. You just need to lift the lid to remove the Valk. No mess. The light dusting means it was opened and displayed for sure so he was at least lying to you about that (but hey, 100 bucks!). Just hope they aren't stolen from someone's collection or something. If that is a knockoff, it is one hell of a knockoff! It all looks about right to me. Enjoy!

I agree. I have several ThreeA releases so far and I'm quite happy with them. I'm a huge fan of Ash Wood as well (it helps).

I'm pretty sure you won't have this problem. I really want the 171EX but this is the Valk that has me excited this year.

Still haven't gotten a preorder in. I'm just gonna keep checking HLJ for a very long time then. If I get one, I get one. If not then I'll have money left over for the other things I want. I'm definitely not gonna rage and cry about this one.
