Thanks for the links but yeah, my Japanese is almost non-existent if you don't count the semester I took in college Still sounds anecdotal to me. Anyhow, I'm happy (at least I hope to be) with my purchase and that's all that counts. (fully aware there are no English subs)

No, but the parts that are nicely animated will look even better to me. You can't cherry pick the bad parts and say it isn't warranted. Well, you can but it is no more valid than me picking the nice parts and saying it is worth it. Is it really a widely held opinion or is there proof somewhere? Numbers? Statistics? A poll?

HD is a pretty significant new feature for me so I don't feel like I'm being milked at all. It's the first time the series is being released in an HD transfer. Now if they released it again on bluray down the line and added in a tiny insignificant extra, they can cry "MILKING THE FANS BOOHOO" all they want. But why cry in the first place? Just don't buy it and move on. Problem solved.

I've had these preordered since they were first put up on HLJ. I haven't even really watched the anime outside of a few clips on Youtube. These are just pretty looking planes.

I'm in for at least 2 as well. I'm *REALLY* pulling for the scheme I'm seeing in the drawing earlier with the grey nosecone. I love it, cannon be damned. So that makes it one of these and a Hikaru scheme from Flashback. OH and a VFX scheme! That makes three for me. Roy Focker's ghost can fly the one with the grey nosecone

Just saw this tonight and I loved it. This was in no way a bad movie and some people just need to learn to have some fun and quit nitpicking. For what it's worth, I do love comic books as well and I thought this was an excellent comic book team movie. I absolutely loved Iron Man, of course.

I've always said it as vern-ee-yurs myself and I'm not gonna change that cause I ain't listening to some PONY-GUY on the internet! All kidding aside, I did not know it was vern-ee-yays either but I'm not a guy who knows a lot about aeronautics in general (only which planes are pretty ones). I'll probably continue saying it my way cause I'm a forgetful SOB. I'm part of the problem, I know. In other news, I can't wait until my Ozma and Alto packs come in on Monday (thanks, anonymous guys from Tokyo-Hunter!). I don't even have an Alto but I got one for safe-keeping in the hopes I'll have an Alto later.

Gotta emphasize this for truth. All the dvd rips in "HD" so far are laughable unless done from a true HD source (not DVD)

Wasn't a complaint. I also ordered something else from them, got a shipping quote, paid, and am still waiting on confirmation of it being shipped (it's been a couple weeks). All I'm saying is it would be nice to get an email response is all. Honestly as long as I get my stuff I'm fine. I'll blow a gasket if they email me back saying they didn't receive enough from Bandai though
