The smaller scale PT Valk line is likely something that Yamato is simply considering. It's likely not something that's actually already in the works and probably something they just began swirling ideas for. Also, the scale is not definite. 1/100 is simply a wild guess. A smaller size PT Valk line is a good idea. I hope it comes to fruition.

Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!
Vifam7 replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
If my reading of Japanese fans is correct, one can definitely be sure that the VF-4 is at the top of the list. Probably followed closely by the VF-17/171 and VF-2SS. Let's hope sales are good. That's the one thing that'll keep this line alive. I'm doing my part. -
The Macross Quarter. DX Chogokin
Vifam7 replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Going by official dimensions, Macross Quarter should be a tad shorter in length than the ARMD carriers. So the DX chogokin is a bit too big to be in scale with Yamato's SDF-1. Though honestly I think it probably wouldn't look too out of place sitting next to each other. -

The model kits for Macross 7 were considered quite nice. The 1/100 Fire Valk kit in particular has excellent anime-like proportions. (Doesn't it look nice? Not painted or anything! No, it's not my work) Folks, it waaaaay too early to judge the form of the new VF100s Fire Valk until we see the first painted prototypes. That pic on the poster could be anything. -

Reports from Japanese fans says the standing prototype type model was around 30cm. The poster text says the toy will be filled with "gimmicks" so you can recreate your favorite scenes from the series. And there will be in-scale Valks included. Also, looks like the release will be sometime in the Fall. -
A report I'm reading at Japanese bbs says - release of 1/60 Elintseeker around Fall release of Armored Valk (GBP) around end of year more repaints of Mac+ Valks to come no plans in immediate future for VF-4 (but they are looking into it since it ranks high in their polls) they may have plans for a smaller size perfect transformation series (around 1/100 scale) they are working to make the boxes smaller

Good news. Reports from Japanese fans say Yamato is aiming to keep it around the 50,000yen mark (approx. US$500).

I'm guessing the price will be around $1,000 to $2,000. Probably a limited production run too. Shipping alone would be around $400 to 500 if ordering from HLJ. Such a large and expensive toy they'd likely ship via FedEX.
-
If funds permit, I might get myself a few of each. The 1/100 VF-19s had good proportions. I'd like to build one or two just to compare to the (hopefully) eventual VF100s release.

Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!

It's already been confirmed that PVC use will be minimal in this toy. The pics of the toy at the Tamashii site are better than the ones in the photos taken at events. No telling whether the ones at the events or the ones at the Tamashii site are more representative of the actual product. http://www.tamashii.jp/item/item.php?eid=01055&pref=302 -
Has anyone seen this yet? A fan made animation from long long ago. Title: Super Lolicon Fortress Ranzie (Ranje?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbNtCpquwrk Check out the transforming Valks! Anime magic at it's best!

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4
Vifam7 replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Some Japanese fans have suggested that a new type of armor will make it's appearance in the movie. I wouldn't be surprised, since afterall DYRL introduced the "Strike Pack" for the VF-1. -
I thought I read somewhere that it was "mechanical". My wild guess: a GU-11 gunpod toy. The toy lights up, and makes "RRRrrrrrr" sound.

There are 3 other ways I deal with such marks - 1. If it's a dark area, I just dab at little bit of gray Gundam marker on it. 2. Dab some glue on the edges of the mark, wait a few seconds, then rub the area with a toothpick. Basically melting the plastic and rubbing some of the surrounding plastic onto the mark. 3. Melt a teeny tiny piece of plastic on top of it. Take a minute slice of plastic of same color from the sprue, dip it in Tamiya cement for a few minutes, then spread the gooey melting plastic on the white sprue mark. Wait for it to dry, then sand. Not sure if the last 2 tricks are correct things to do, but it worked for me a few times.
-
Theoretically though, both the VT-1 and VE-1 could probably be easily configured for combat. And it wouldn't be completely unrealistic for them to carry weapons as many trainers and EW aircraft in the real world do so. In the DYRL, it seemed Hikaru did have the necessary avionics for combat.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4

Better yet what if they ask if they can play with it? Or worse, they just pick it up and start fiddling with it! Nooooooo! -
What do you have currently? What anime do you like? Give us some details so we can help you out.
-
I'd choose the GNU if they were actually in 1/100 scale. Alas... While not a priority, I might get one anyways. Not necessarily. That depends on how one wishes to "play" with one's toy.
-
What's the scale of these models?
-
The YF-19 and YF-21 GNUs were $30 (not including shipping). The GNUs are absolutely worth it when you consider the following - 1. they look better than the Revoltechs 2. are more posable than the 1/60s 3. considerably cheaper than the 1/60s 4. stress-free to play with - aka. no worries about breaking a expensive 3 figure toy esp. knowing that a shoulder breakage is still possible with the 1/60. 5. stress-free to mod - I'd rather mod a $30 toy than a $100+ toy That VF-1J is really sweet looking.

If it's shiny, at least we know it ain't gummy PVC. That's good news right? -
Like if I was playing Super Robot Wars? Then my choice would be ARIEL (it has yet to appear on SRW ) . Not only is it hot looking, it's good in the air and on land. Plus 2 co-pilots giving me extra spirit commands.
