  1. ダーリン、ウチの歌を聴くっちゃ! Daaarlin', listen to my song!
  2. BTW, the "2 modes" (bundle) version comes with extra decals (according to Amiami - decals to enhance the diorama scene). Also, HLJ now has them listed.
  3. The bundle sets are ones that have a fighter kit and a battroid kit in the box. Having both kits in the box means you don't have to buy 2 separate kits for gerwalk mode. If you want to repaint the pilot figure, that's easy. It a kit, so you repaint the pilot figure, glue him to the seat, then build the cockpit.
  4. Nah, all of them will likely come with landing gears and missiles. The Gimix line has never released a kit without landing gears or some kind of ordnance.
  5. You don't want a model kit (esp in 1/144 scale!) to transform. Transformation should be left to the Arcadia and Bandai DX toys.

Back in the old days that's the best we had and we liked it!
  7. If you've built Gundam kits, then you'll have no problems. If you've never built a kit before, then yes, you'll have difficulties.
  8. What they offer is fully painted easy-build kits in 1/144 scale. And fully painted means - every color is done and every last marking has been tampo printed. Which means i can put together a pro-built looking Valk in a hour or so. Here's another example of a Tomytec Gimix kit. All I did was put it together. No painting or decaling whatsoever.
  9. Tomytec has Macross Delta in their Gimix lineup. See here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=43003&p=1252187 Aoshima is planning a "Valkyrie Girl" kit.
  10. Macross Delta coming to this line as well!

  12. I would just keep the 3 1/60v2 Yamato/Arcadia toys and start the new Hi-Metal R collection. Even though your 1/60 collection isn't going to expand, you'll want to keep the few you have just to have them. It doesn't have to be all of this or all of that. I find it more fun to collect up and down the spectrum.
  13. Thanks for the reminder. However, I have to ask why the DYRL Perfect Edition DVD from 1999 is less grainy than everything that was released afterwards?
  14. I think it might not be worth it if you have the 1999 Region2 Perfect Edition DVD. Probably the best version on disc? But despite having that DVD, I purchased this Blu-ray edition for the following reasons - 1. Wanted DYRL on blu-ray 2. Felt that the censorship on the "hybrid" blu-ray release was blasphemy 3. Wanted the original theatrical mono track 4. Wanted to listen to the commentary track Btw, if you select the mono track, the movie starts without the text and the movie ends without going to the Minmay concert scene (instead it goes to the black screen credits just like it did in 1984).

Depending on how you plan to configure your toy, what you have to partsform differs. If you're planning on fitting the GBP, then obviously you'll be playing with a lot of parts. In terms of just plain jane fighter to battroid transformation, it has perhaps the easiest transformation since the old Takatoku. Yes, you do have to swap the canopy/heatshield, landing gears, and maybe the hands (depending on whether or not you use the landing gears or the optional hands). The canopy/heatshield swap may be difficult initially but I never had a problem. Swapping the landing gears is painless (certainly easier than trying to pull out the gears from my 1/60 VF-11).
  16. I really like the fact that they included the original theatrical mono track. Is it the first time? Or did the 1980's VHS/Betamax release have mono?
  17. At the very least, they could've scaled it to 1:144. orz Perhaps they don't want to conflict with Tomytec's line...

    Bandai DX VF-31

How about a SH Figuarts Freyja that clips on top of the DX VF-31? Just imagine a Delta episode where each Walkure girl is surfin' on top of a VF-31 in macronized size... No? I think it'd be pretty cool.
  19. Freyja, the anglerfish girl! あんこうガール She needs to do the anglerfish dance. Anglerfish dance:
  20. It's not a partsformer. There's no transformation. You either build as fighter, battroid, or gerwalk. The only thing is, you have to use both fighter kit parts and battroid kit parts to build a gerwalk. This is the samething as the Wave kits. Unknown as to whether they'll include both fighter and battroid kits in one box or sell them separately.
  21. Hmmm... Just wondering... What's the chance of Hayate NOT becoming a Valkyrie pilot? Maybe he becomes a producer for the Walkure girls?
  22. Technically you don't even have to like the anime itself to support it. You can support it tangentially by buying the merchandise for it. I'm pretty sure there are folks here that'll buy the DX VF-31 toy without having seen a single episode of Delta.
