1/48+fp's, 1/60+fp's, 1/72, 1/2k, 1/3k,1/100 and now 1/144

I made one with the 1/72 kit. -
The first giveaway of this being a fake, is that the kanji for kanzen (完全) and henkei (変形) is written incorrectly. It also says "3 タイフ" (instead of 3 タイプ)Then there's also the non-sensical word after the red "VF-1A" plus another heinous mistake underneath the fighter image that says "VF-1A ガウォーハルキリーー"

My feeling is that the USAF would never accept a turboprop like the A-29. Nor would they accept Textron Scorpion. They would likely reject both and cite lack of speed for rejecting them. The better contender might be the winner of the T-X program - with T-50 and the Boeing submission perhaps being the strongest choices. Both are powered by the GE F404 so there is good amount of thrust there, as well as familiarity.

IMPO, the US military should always be ahead of the technology curve. Relying on previous generation technology or pasted on improvements to old tech, sounds like a way of putting US airmen&soldiers in danger when it could be avoided. It would indeed be ideal to have purpose built aircraft for every mission. However, with the Cold War over and defense budgets continually being a target for cuts, it makes sense that the US military wants the most amount of utility from its fighter aircraft. Also, the problem with purpose built aircraft is that, you just don't know what kind of aircraft is needed in a future conflict. A purpose built aircraft means that it has the potential of being useless in certain scenarios (thus depleting the assets that can be used). The cost of the F-35 will come down as more and more are purchased (economy of scale). Every fighter has had its developmental problems. The problems will eventually be ironed out. Hopefully most of it gone before it goes to war.

Idol Defense Force Hummingbird featured singing idolgirl fighter pilots. The short OAV series had some great songs.

The chest piece looks way out of shape IMHO. Plus the canopy framing sticking out past the glass is really bad (though to be fair, it might just be a pre-pro thing).

It's unlikely that the US hasn't thought up of such a possible scenario. Such scenarios were likely thought up and played out in various training exercises. The fact that the US and its allies can train for such possibilities (while having such assets like AWACs, tankers, & stealth fighters to play with) and perhaps have a system on how to deal with it is where there'd be an advantage. Not sure if the RusAF or PLAAF can train to the extent that US forces and allies can.

Only China and Russia can somewhat match the US in terms of sheer combat aircraft numbers. Besides, it's not really realistic to think that the bad guys will always be able to send up more fighters than the good guys. And in the real world, it's rarely going to be a straight on 2v4 or 4v4 or whatever X numbers versus X numbers head-to-head engagement. It's much more complex and fluid. The F-35 is really about being part of a "system" on how the US and its allies will fight its wars. So, if a certain country is going to fight a war alongside the US, or is counting on US forces to be an integral part of its warfighting, then it makes all the sense to buy the F-35.

I wonder what'll be the next AnimEigo Kickstarter project. I'd like to see them do another old school OAV. -
How about "Fool's Gold"? Buyers of the Su-57 will think it's a stealth fighter equal to the F-22 or F-35, but it's really not. In the meantime, I think the F-35 should be nicknamed Ultra SLUF or SLUF II .

No love for Ishtar (voice actress & singer: Kasahara Hiroko)?

As soon as the first prototype is flying, Russia will promise all sorts of technology, show off some fancy maneuvers at an airshow, and proclaim it as the world's most awesome-est fighter. The internet armchair pilots and experts will lap it all up. And do so for the following 10 years even though less than a dozen will be produced during that time.

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)

Ofcourse women watch anime for fanservice. Just look up the word yaoi. -
The confusing part is that it says "2体 セットとしてのリリース" . Translation: a release as a 2-fer set. Does that mean a release of each version at the sametime or 2 Regults in one package? It sounds like 2 Regults in one package but the price seems low for 2 Regults plus missile parts in one package. So, it's more likely it means both versions released at the sametime.
-
Sorry I misread. it appears to be separate toys. It's a bit confusing as it mentions 2-fer set.
-
Note: The Tamashii page already mentions swappable landing gears and hands. As well as "parts" for the gunpod. There's also mention of swappable "smaller size wings" (most likely these are the battroid mode wings that was also done with the VF-1) .

Did anyone see this? Official website: http://henkeigirls.com/ Watch this girl transform into a F-14 Tomcat...

I saw that airplane too. It was a F-16.

Maybe you should consider getting a personal loan to consolidate your debt and get a fixed monthly payment at a lower rate? A couple of months of belt tightening might be more preferable than letting go of your treasured collectables.

Wonder Woman, in theaters Summer 2017
Vifam7 replied to jvmacross's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
After the failures with MoS and BvS, I went into this movie with low expectations. I saw the movie yesterday and I thought it was quite good. IMHO, Chris Pine's character and performance as Steve Trevor carried the movie. Gal Gadot is OK as Wonder Woman. Overall, I'd say it's on par or just a step below Captain America First Avenger. The few nitpicks though. They never really explained how Steve Trevor and the Germans got to Themyscira. Also, it doesn't make much sense for a naval ship to be chasing an aircraft. And, what happened to that ship and its crew? Finally, Steve was flying a Fokker Eindecker - which was obsolete and out of service by 1918.- 233 replies

Bootleggng operations are often linked to organized crime (Mafias and Triads). I'm not saying Macross KO toys are linked to them but it is something to think about before one starts justifying bootlegs.
