  1. buying whatever it comes with. if they come out with a package with valk and a package without valk, I'll get both. already have a VF-1J hikaru standing by.
  2. when u buy from shops in japan itself, u'll have to pay 5% tax. so 5% of 8000 yen is 400 yen. but when ordering from HLJ, u don't need to pay the 5% tax. so it'll still be 8000 yen.
  3. so when is he getting his very own 1st 1/48?
  4. Since u already have Hikaru 1S, get the Max.
  5. Just thought they'd look cool. my PG Gundam and MG Patlabor all have LED in them. And so far they all look better then without any light. hmmm..... Maybe i'll try it on my least fav 1/48. Hikaru VF-1A for a start.
  6. Am thinking of adding a LED inside the head of my 1/48. All of the VF-1S/J/A. But before I go experimenting, have anyone open up the heads before? How to go about doing it? Kindly show me how if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
  7. Great news. Thanks Graham. Next questions: 1) How much? 2) How will it be marketed? Bundled with VF-1J or sold separately like the FAST Packs?
  8. Sorry, but please allow me to hijacjk this thread. Think it's a good thread for people who wants to makes their toys looks cooler. Not my macross toys, but my 2 MG Griffon. I fitted a LED into their head: They definitely looks better then before. I'm using a 12V DC power supply, coz my display cabinet also uses this voltage. So I only need 1 switch to turn on/off all the lights. As a LED only needs about 3V, I connected it in such a way that there's 3 LED connected in series with a 100 ohm resistor. Hard to go into details, but that's approximately how it's done. Next, perhaps I'll try to see if I can add in LED to my VF-1S.
  9. I think u mean this one:http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN53283 Picture of it can be seen in this catalog. 2nd row, 2nd column: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v94/mush...am73/page43.jpg Picture of mine: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw.../SD_Gundam2.jpg I used a 12V DC power supply adaptor. The adaptor is plugged into the wall socket. You can also mod one from a old PC power supply unit. These LED strips are meant for PC modification usage.
  10. thanks. and please refer to the bottom of the message in my 1st post.
  11. yes, that's in part 1 of the modification. and now the Gundam LED runs on a separate 3V suuply.
  12. Bandai 1/24 HY2M RX-78-2 http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN900878 still WIP.
  13. Part 1 is here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...topic=10264&hl= Decided to change the lighting system again, and went around looking for this: http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/ccfltubes.html The cathode light tube wasn't so nice when I saw it. So, finally I bought this at a local shop: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet/LED_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet/LED_2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet/LED_3.jpg For those interested to see how was it done: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...inet_Back_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...inet_Back_2.jpg Finally completed: More pics here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet_3rd_1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet_3rd_3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...binet_3rd_4.jpg The price for the LED is SGD$25 per strip. 30 LEDs in a strip. I used 12 strips for the whole thing. Blue LED is more expensive. Other colour LED is only SGD$12 per strip. All runs on 12V DC supply. And in case anyone is interested in that headless gundam, here is a closeup: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/jonw...ncomplete_1.jpg Not complete yet. That's why it's headless and handicapped.
  14. elint. what else.
  15. anything toy that can be given a 65% discount can't be a good toy. HLJ comment cannot be trusted. would you say something bad about what you sell? just look at what they comment on the Banpresto little transforming valks. but ultimately, it's still your own decision.
  16. i'd been praying hard every night for a 1/48 elint. it was never anwsered. 1/60 elint is so far my favourite among all my 1/60 collections. go get it while u can.
  17. now that is really a piece of dirt looks real.
  18. try building one of this: http://s96920072.onlinehome.us/tnt1/101-20...Phua/tnt121.htm not mine.
  19. how about both?
  20. i saw a modeller did it at a shop before. it looks great. but some modding must be done. like mentioned, they are different kits.
  21. my vote goes to hikaru. i prefer red to yellow. my luv is for the valks. not the character or story.
  22. i wouldn't call u crazy, but i never was interested in clear parts.
  23. Was discussed before: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=7152&hl=
  24. well, all their gun do have missle projectiles included. that'll do the trick. tell the thief that the projectile won't kill him immediately. but rather cause him to have non-stop internal bleeding with hell lots of pain for weeks before he evantually die from loss of blood. and oh yes, more bandai reissue please.
  25. some of the bandai's valk have heat shield. i think only the VF-1J do not have them. not sure. and i really really luv to own a VE-1 and a GBP
