  1. Looks like the boosters of a VF-1 FAST Pack loadout, except it uses Macross Plus style drones. Looks damn cool regardless and not a bad idea for combat.
  2. Zentradi Capital ships have never been given an official range for the distance their weapons can fire. Given that the Meltrandi and Zentradi war machines share similar capabilities, the Zentradi capital ships can most likely fire as far as the Macross (being a Meltrandi Gun Boat). The Macross has been shown to fire its main gun at a range of roughly up to one light second (300,000 kilometers). The first episode of SDF Macross quotes a distance of 280,000 km. In the series, Zentradi capital ships have shown the ability to fire upon celestial objects outside of orbit (the destruction of a moon) and from orbital range (the bombardment of Earth). This would give the Zentradi ships a minimum range of a few thousand kilometers to several tens of thousands of kilometers.
  3. The opening sequence to the TV series shows a lap belt I beleive. Or one of the episodes when Hikaru is preparing to launch. I remember it clearly, though I know it's often overlooked because it's just a few seconds of screen time.
  4. I think it's pretty much a given that any man of generation x is going to have some weird excentricity. Most of the people of my generation seem to have some really weird hobbies or tastes, but I admit some are more obvious than others. Guys with very strange pets, guys with Simpsons memorabilia, guys with sports card collections, guys with anime, guys with models...it's pretty extensive. Hell, just a generation ago it was abnormal to enjoy television and movies in any hardcore manner. Now my dad has better home entertainment equipment than I do and loves tetris on his computer. If you don't have some strange hobby, you're generally considered "weird" (go figure).
  5. Btw, does that pilot have safety belts across his torso?
  6. That's a great looking custom Yammie! You picked some sharp looking colors and a very nice color scheme. Well done!
  7. Mr March

    Britai attacks!

Wow! The way he/she matched the lighting for some of those composite shots is amazing. Very cool!
  8. Brilliant. I'd definitely be interested in getting some of these.
  9. Word
  10. A very interesting question. Hopefully someone here will know the proper answer (ie. not the flurry of random, uneducated guesses we usually find in these threads).
  11. Love it! THank you very much. Btw, you spoke of "a set of pictures"? Hope we can see some more.
  12. I can totally relate. It's like...oh, let's see...issuing a parking ticket ten minutes after my $12.00, two hour permit expired. Milk, suck, bleed that middle class working stiff until he's dead then sell off what's left and tax it!
  13. I'm soon going to purchase a $1,300 camera and I can afford it. But I'm sure as hell going to bitch about it when I want too There's a difference complaining about something you can't afford and complaining how much you paid for something you can. Yamato's are still too damn expensive, yet I comfortably own three. No credit here It all depends upon what you as an individual get out of what you purchase, not whether you're trying to out do the "Jone's". Most people look at me like I'm crazy purchasing the expensive stuff I buy and it's probably going to get worse before it gets better (Canon XL-1S, you will be mine!). But I get more out of those "expensive pieces of crap" than paying $400 to dye my hair green and get a pedicure (yes, my last girlfriend was insane). I say cry expensive all you want. I know I am
  14. Not only do I like your custom, I really like your camera work. It's rare to see someone able to take stylish shots of their custom work. You battroid mode shots and gerwalk shots are very good. Nice work!
  15. You and Egan should colaborate on a website. It seems there's a duplication of effort in some respects. I love Egan's website for information and proper translations, but I love your website for the rare pictures and comprehensive content. Just a thought.
  16. Now that's just harsh
  17. ...one of my colleagues stood up and asked "Why are we honoring this man? Have we run out of human beings?"
  18. Hehehe, I always felt alone asking for that resolution. Nice to know there's someone else out there who runs at hi-res Hi res? Try running at 1920 x 1200 sometime - I dare you - the icons are so small! I run a particular resolution on my computer that I think fits the size and utility of my monitor, not out of any need to have a super hi res desktop. Though I suppose 1920 x 1200 would look very very funny I just find that certain resolutions work best for certain sizes of monitors. Back when I had my old 15", 800x600 was fine and I disliked 1024 x 768. But I'm running a 21" monitor now, and anything below 1280 x 1024 just seems way too large and blocky. Of course, anything larger is just way too small in my opinion
  19. I like the Darth Vader set, but I really liked the Special Edition posters. THe original film posters are great too, but I think the SE posters would work much better for an updated original trilogy boxed set. As as fate would have it, the DVD release is the SE versions of the films
  20. Max Jenius and UN SPacy Indeed, L.A. Confidential was one of the films that was more blatantly robbed than others. But there was a great deal of other offences that originally motivated me to rip the Oscars. Putting aside the age old blunder of Citizen Kane granted best movie of all time, yet didn't even win the Oscar, I'd say Val Kilmer's non-nomination for Tombstone, Nolan denied even a nomination as best director for Memento, Edward Norton in Primal Fear, and several others really started me on my anti-Oscar rants Another robbery. SPR is also one of my favorite films and a serious contender for any top ten list.
  21. Those designs look great! Wow, I sure wish the original Battletech looked like that over here in NA. Most of the great Battletech designs like the Vulture/Mad Dog, Mad Cat/TimberWolf or Daishi, didn't show up until many years later.
  22. Hehehe, I always felt alone asking for that resolution. Nice to know there's someone else out there who runs at hi-res
  23. Wow Egan, you're back with passion
  24. Well, at least it's a straight answer. Many thanks to you Mr. Loo.
  25. Sexy! I like it.
