Anyone else having an issue getting the pilot seat to lock in behind the head with the head tilted foward? My 1D one pops right in, but this one just won't...Am I missing something?

Great job! I've still got my two originals in my Mospeada display case! They killed a lot of Invids when I was a kid!

Armor Parts ON! This is the first time I've EVER been happy with the color of these! Good job Bandai!!!
-
Holy FAST shipping Batman!, DHL says my armor parts from Anime Export will be here today! That's TWO days!

Half my house is bursting with dope ass toys, the other half, my wife's antiques...who's gonna win when the two sides actually meet in the middle of the house somewhere at some future point in time??? Don't know...or perhaps a singularity will just form in the center of the house.... I think what we can ALL agree on here is that now that we have the 1J with Armor in DX form, what we REALLY need from Bandai is an IN SCALE enemy Recon unit to go along with it! I mean who here wouldn't buy that???!!!

@MechTech wow! Thanks for the heads up! I really endeavor to keep my tools for a long time, so I will definitively bleed the air out completely after each use! I normally only have time to paint on the weekends anyway.

Paid about $43 "Fast Shipping" (Slow Shipping was exactly the same price) from Anime Export for my Armor Parts. They shipped via DHL this morning and I got the text from DHL shortly after with the waive signature option and leave package on porch option which I LOVE. Let's see how long until it's on my doorstep!

@007-vf1 Great little kits you have there! I built the Recon Pod years ago. Still one of my favorite designs! I know I've said this a million times before, but oh man do I wish Bandai would make new Macross Molds of all the old SDF ships and mecha utilizing the techniques they honed doing all the Star Wars and Gundam kits. How much of a dream come true would that be for all of us old and new fans?! Come on Bandai!!! DO IT!

Question for all you guys around here with compressors with air tanks, Do you leave the system pressurized when you are finished painting, or do you bleed the air completely from the system before leaving for more than a few days to a week or more? Just curious!

Solid logic there sir! I look forward to build updates!

This armor was never my favorite or even in my top 10, but any Moscato build by @tekering is always a welcome and educational experience! My memory escapes me, did you purchase and already build the Moscato Q-Rau??? I hope I didn't miss that build!

@pengbuzz very cool Master Chief! @MechTech loving the diorama so far! Over here, I have to report that Mr. VivoHome China special air compressor is going back, I always had a good feeling about the little blue and black Tuffiom China special air compressor but I let my want of a free craptastic airbrush and a higher number of Amazon reviews sway my initial gut feeling. And sooo, here we are, the Tuffiom is a better unit. ($3 cheaper actually) The VivoHome made an odd high pitched screaming noise when it was running... Very irritating! No thanks. I will say this to anyone looking for a new compressor.. COMPLETELY IGNORE THE NOISE DB RATING ON ALL OF THEM!!! They measure the noise of the airbrush spraying and the compressor NOT running... LOL Sneaky, Sneaky.... They both claim 47DB as do many others. It's not true. They all run about 78DB at about one foot away. Measured both with a DB meter app along with my old Paasche. Just FYI! Also trying out Airbrush Flow Improver from Vallejo. I put about 5 drops in for 10 drops of paint and acrylic thinner. I think it does spray a little better honestly. 😁

No word here from Anime Export on my parts only order as of today...

Alright, I'll say it, looks like Bandai NAILED the color on this release at least for me! Not dark blue, a lot more grey in there! I can't wait to get mine!

@MechTech - It's the 3D printed ship that came with the MepToys 1/100 Breetai figure.
-
@pengbuzz LOL! Thanks! Yeh, it's not suppose to look perfect! Just like the original anime!

Some actual hobbying went on this weekend over here. Got Miria/Milia painted (be gentle, I'm not good with figures), for her QRau and also worked on my Itty bitty Zentradi Flag Ship. I also got some cool garage time to strip some more ick off the Cat's Eye 👁.

@Dobber Totally agree about the Federation ships, The Enterprise F and the F refit are the only ones I like. All the baddies so far though, I plan to get!

Anyone on the fence about the Star Trek Online ships, I'll say this, they are great! I am loving most of the ship designs. Ordered and got these two in today, Klingon Mogh Bartle cruiser and Romulan ReLahl warbird. They are amazing. Eaglemoss nailed these. I can't find a single flaw. (Even with my magnifying glasses on!) Highly recommended!

New Tool Show And Tell Day! 😁. Birthday $50 gift card and a Lighting Sale yesterday on Amazon along with another Amazon coupon, and I walked away with this new 1/5 HP VivoHome compressor /tank AND a free airbrush for $25 out of pocket! Yeh, it's a junky airbrush but hey, whatever! Primer and clears maybe. I'll have to try it out. My 10 year old Paasche compressor still works, but it gets very hot. I've wanted a tank for a while now. Couldn't pass it up! The compressor got really good reviews.

UPDATES! Mrs. Q-Rau is being sanded and re-primed for final seam getting rid of sessions, so nothing much to show there, getting very close to time to lay down some paint though! Cat's Eye - Haven't touched it in 8 weeks at least, to DAMN hot and humid to strip paint off if the garage. Uhhggg. Titanic - Light blocked 4 sections of underside of main deck, test fitted, they all SUCK. Mind you not as much as the two large upper deck parts I'll have to deal with eventually, they are warped AF...FML. I did however get to paint the upper side of the main deck, Tamiya Wooden Deck Tan and then figured out that my good unused set of colored pencils works great for coloring in slightly different colors to simulate the planks of wood on the decks! HA! Just gonna take a while....LOL. Also got the main LED strip hot glued in the bottom of the ship. Stay tuned!
