One would think if Arcadia was going to milk a mold with color schemes, they would have done it with the VF-4G....but they didn't .

Titanic Upate... Spent yesterday afternoon at the new spray booth airbrushing Mr Surfacer 1500 primer onto a million little parts. Thinned about 70/30 with Mr Color Leveling Thinner. You go through quite a lot of it I must say. Also front deck coloring is finished and a little hand painted details are there now. Also remember the gold craft paint??? Yuppers..airbrushes like a dream, thinned 50/50 with Mr Color Leveling Thinner. It lays down like an old Model Master Metalizer. Beautiful. The white spoon is my 1st try with Tamiya Lacquer Racing White again thinned 50/50 with Mr Color Leveling Thinner. Lays down extremely well. This will be the color I use on all the upper deck parts. Stay tuned!

Easy pass for me, no attachment to it whatsoever. Congrats to all who are excited about having a rare Macross Valk done justice by Arcadia though! I'm sure it will be pretty to look at!

Rant mode ON: I've been trying to find paints that brush paint well straight out of the jar (Model Master enamels were my go to for years, but they're gone) for months upon months now. I've tried Tamiya Acrylics with paint retarder, Tamiya lacquers, Tamiya enamels, Mr Color lacquers, and Humbrol.. NONE of them lay down anywhere near as perfect as this no name enamel craft paint my wife and her mom randomly picked up at Hobby Lobby for me to touch up a picture frame of hers. EL OH FREAKIN EL. Look at this... One coat, brushed onto bare plastic from the mid 90s..not washed, not primed, nothing! It is perfect. You can see the damn swirls in the plastic. Zero brush strokes. SO.... Here's my question... Whyyyyy do we continue pay for these high dollar purpose made model paints?! I wish these people made every color under the sun I would go buy an entire set and be done for life. I haven't tried airbrushing it yet, but I have a feeling it will be gorgeous.... Rant mode : OFF.

Ok, I'm a little late to the party here, just caught up on the last episode of BOOK OF BOBAMANDO last night and all I can say is DAMN! I LOVED it! The Tie Bombers nuking the sh*t outta Mandalore, the badass opening scene with Mando regulating with the Dark Saber, and ALL the little easter eggs on for Phantom Menace fans was just EPIC! Love having Mando back in the mix, Boba stuff was getting stale honestly. SO WIZARD! Bryce Dallas Howard directed episodes are quickly becoming some of my favs! Can't wait to see where they go from here!

After 10 years of service I decided it was time to strip all the old paint off "The Workbench" and begin again from the ground up with a full redesign for "Workbench 2.0" with my new spray booth I got for Christmas. I wrapped up the LEDs with cling wrap and taped white paper around the inside of the booth so it will remain mostly paint free. Here's the outcome! Can't wait to try it out! Will hopefully be adding a new airbrush to it as well soon...

Ok,.....that might just have been the coolest thing I've ever seen. -
Absolutely! Jenius' website is one of if not the best out there for Macross/Mospeada reviews. His HM-R Destroid Monster review still stands out as one of the all time greats!

I laughed SO hard outloud at the crazy chef droid channeling his inner Grievous that I had to rewind it to actually watch the scene!

****siiigh***** Again, I really WANT to like this, perhaps even love it, but I feel like I'll just be let down again like every other ST show of the last few years. I like others couldn't even get past the 2nd or 3rd episode of the 1st season.- 2171 replies
