  2. WOW!!! Those things ARE HUGE!!! The geek in my still wants one though.....
  3. Bored........ ......NICE work Rabid btw.....
  4. Had the same problem with my Rand the first time....Scott was easy, Rand is MUCH tighter. It just takes a while of "fiddling" with it to make the rider snap in properly to the armor, in order for everything else (like the white parts) to be able to be placed correctly. I was beginning to wonder what I was doing wrong myself, then after a while everything just lined up and presto! .....don't give up...and the white parts do snap on and off, so don't worry about it if they come off, sometimes it's just easier to remove them while transforming the thing.
  5. NICE!!!!!
  6. OMG............Absolutely incredible work.
  7. I'm gonna wait for Yamato to make a proper SDF-1 if it's all the same Pete AGREED. I've waited this long....I can wait a little longer.....
  8. That blue Max TV pose is freakin EPIC! I'm so stealing that one.
  9. Pro-Modeler's Dark Dirt Wash, a moist finger tip, , a paper towel, and some q-tips, and some TIME, also used a Pigma Micron 005 pen for a couple of lines on the dish and FP's.
  10. there is a better way to do it where there is clearance...a page or 2 back there is a good pic of it. I SO almost went with the light grey Macross kite on the FP's....Glad someone did IT!!!
  11. Yeah....I watched the 3-minute trailer before the Cowboys game today.....looks MILDLY interesting at best........I'm trying to get pumped up about this......
  12. I'll answer that question. Let me preface this with the fact that I am NOT going to get drawn into a 37 page debate with anyone over this, but I happen to like the Robotech soundtrack far better than Macross. Let me explain why. First of all, I grew up with Robotech, and over the years, purchased various CD's of the soundtrack including the latest offering of a few years ago. It is on my IPOD in my car and I listen to it every now and then, some of it is fun driving music, especially if you're on a road trip by yourself! I didn't actually purchase and or see the original SDF Macross until a few years ago. I knew the whole story about what and how Robotech came about, just never had the time or means to get introduced to Macross. The internet and this site in particular introduced me to the Macross World and changed all that. I purchased and watched DYRL first and REALLY liked the soundtrack to that. Can't really find fault with the DYRL soundtrack at all. A few months later I purchased SDF Macross and watched it. I kept catching myself waiting for all the music pieces from Robotech to come in. I feel the Robotech instrumental music makes the episodes more exciting and ads some much needed "emotion" if you will, to the kind of stark silence in some scenes in SDF Macross. One piece of Macross music that I just cannot stand is the Zentraidi main theme music. It just hits me like nails on a chalk board. HOWEVER, that being said, I have always hated the Robotech Minmay songs, and after watching DYRL and SDF Macross have really come to love those Minmay songs. FAR FAR better! A few months later, I purchased Macross Plus, and that was just a whole other level of coolness! Some really cool music in that show! I have no plans to stop listening to or watching the good old "R" show from time to time. I don't care about the politics of it all, The Robotech Soundtrack will always have a place in my music library. just my .02
  13. Just gotta say it....I LOVE your site also. I NEVER buy anything totally new (Macross or Mospeada wise) until I read your reviews! Keep up the great work!
  14. I've had mine almost 2 weeks now.....

  17. "Interesting plot twist".......this thread reminds me of a day time soap....
  18. +1 here. That is just ridiculous. I hope that price is wrong. There is no way that transformation is that difficult when compared to a YF-21 for $200. Yamato is nuts.
  19. I'm SO gonna end up caving in and buying this.....then kick myself ten times over when they release the TV one in 6 months....then buy that one.....I CURSE the day I found this website AND heard the word Yamato and did anyone else just fall in love with the way they used like 7 VF-1J's in different stages of transformation??!! That's badass!!!
  20. AGREED 1000%.
  21. + 1..............
  22. New question... VF-11 and VF-22...worth the money? They both look unbelievably good in pictures. Any HUGE problems that I should look out for? I can only speak to the VF-11B, great toy, great transformation, getting the heat shield out and connected the first time is uhhh.....fun....to say the least....Only slight problem is with the rear landing gear pegs pulling out, happened on mine the other day, not a huge deal for me, doesn't fall out or anything, just be aware. The rear gear is a b*tch to get out too........ If you're a fan of Mac Plus...get one, if not, take a pass and save yourself $200.
  23. Actually, you can rotate and swivel the bottom sensor pack into a position which would easily allow a pilot to land normally, and you can display it with the landing gear down and all the parts attached....I just did it the other day!
