As far as I can tell, the Valk itself looks identical in color to my standalone VF-1J.....the head might be a 1/2 shade darker, but all the whites--the Valk, the head, and the white on the armor are MORE than a close enough match. It looks GREAT on my shelf! Buy it, enjoy it and rejoice that Yamato listened and learned about the shoulder thing!

Picked it up from AmiAmi---had it pre-ordered. Got to my doorstep in TX in 4 days.

OK GUYS!!! I am HAPPY to report the 2nd wave release of the VF-1J with armor parts is 100% GOLDEN!!! Just got mine today! Already transformed. TIGHT AND GOOD!! No broken or cracked shoulders, NEW hip connector and NO rainbow canopy! All paint aps are PERFECT and the armor parts are SWEEEET too!!! :D Looks like Yamato LISTENED AND LEARNED!!!!

Awesome Andromeda model! That was one of my favorite Star Blazers ships as a kid! I really liked all the ship designs of that show!

My M&M 1J's are perfect in every way. I am ALWAYS careful when transforming ANY YAMATO PRODUCT, but mine are fine and dandy!

Ordered 1 of the Heavy missle ones from BBTS over the weekend...Hope they make the other 2 varients and then the officer pod! I could keep on board with these, no, they aren't 1:60 Yammies, but they're not bad, and I can have a freakin ARMY for the price of one Yammie if and when it ever comes out.....

ditto here. My YF-19 Double Nuts is great....All my ver2's have been 99.9% perfect. As for regrets...None yet! I love all my Macross/Mospeada stuff! The only REGRET I have is NOT HAVING ALL THE DESTROIDS YAMATO...hint. hint.

Yamato 1:60 ver2 allllll the way here. Sorry. it's close enough to perfect for me. Good size, good build quality, (exploding shoulders aside--I haven't had any) and a GREAT range of variants.

Got my fan racer in the mail yesterday! What a great little kit! Can't wait to start building again...Been outta the game for almost 12 yrs....anyway...anybody around here wanna break me off some knowledge on the following.... #1--on a darker mold color such as this-is it smart to do a "primer coat" of white or something before you actually airbrush the final color of white? and #2--what paints are the best nowadays and what colors did any of you use on the fan racer???--I use to use Testors Model Master, which I thought were always great, with the exception of any white colors, but there are ZERO hobby shops left where I live so I will have to order all my supplies online I guess..., any and all help greatly appreciated!
