I am a HUGE fan of Top Gear. I love it. IMHO--Top Gear America will fail--but hey, I'll give it a shot... Anyway, speaking of sports cars--wanted to share this with u guys...Just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Got a great deal from a great guy outside of Houston-- 2007 Z06, fully loaded, original owner, 12K miles, garage kept. Weekend driver only....I LOVE this thing! -
That is awesome!! I am SO all kinds of jealous!!!

The way I have found that works best for me is---First decide if you want your Valk weathered OR just panel lined. Then I use the Pro Modelers wash to do both. different methods however. And be aware that in my experience, on the REALLY WHITE valks, the wash WILL kind of dull the white down a bit. I either brush the entire thing down and then wipe away some of the wash to give a weathered and panel lined look, OR I just "paint" over the panel lines area with a small brush and then wipe away the access for a "clean" look. This does take a bit of practice--so don't try it on your prize Valk! I can now get great results with either method. And also I do decals LAST, as I found out if I don't---the wash kinda collects around the edges and looks weird to me, and also I prefer that the panel lines seem to go "through" and or "under" my decals. Just my .02!

As I am a relative new comer to Mac 7---(just now plodding through the series for the first time, on about episode 20 I think), I gotta say, when I first saw the Fire Valk, I was kinda like mehh....buuuut.....the more I watch the show---the more I kinda might have to cave and get this if Yamato gets it right....and yeah....music would be a freakin cool addition for those who wanted to pay extra for it!!

I have the Blue Alpha and Invid Inforcer bookends with all my anime dvd's in between them...I gotta say, they are awesome!!! The detail is amazing. If any of you Mospeada guys don't have a set, do yourself a favor and pick up a set. Well worth the $$$. Did you design those as well MJ??? If you did, great job!!! -
sorry Yamato....no deal here on the "repaint" front. I have the DYRL on order, and would buy a 100 percent accurate TV version also if it is reasonably priced (around the same as DYRL).

WOW!! is this the coolest place (with the coolest and most talented guys) on the internet??? I THINK SO!!!!

More like "are you watching Toynami?" for the Vinyl line perhaps??? But great work!!!! -
I'll be patient and wait to see the final product. Needless to say, I think it will look better than those pics. I have faith Yamato will do THIS right. Because right now---that bridge and lack of detail overall really looks like crap!

YES! YES! What he said!!!

I tried the pencil route--just wasn't big on the "shiny" effect it had. Just my .02

I have used a Gundam type marker on my 1:48, YF-19 and Mospeada stuff, but for the 1:60 ver 2 stuff, Pro modelers weathering wash is the only way to go. It takes time and a bit of practice, but the results are greatness!!

caught up on both episodes now....show is getting more and more interesting. Loving Zoe with some badass "Kill Bill" skills! haha! -
I'm in line for the Glaug!!! Where do I pay?? LOL. Good work!! Keep em coming!!! Invid/Inbit?????
-
nor does it cost $400+ dollars.... It simply is what it is. A cheap shelf warmer. But get a few together, throw some simple weathering/detailing on them and they don't look half bad next to Yammy 1:60 ver 2's.

LMAO!!!!! Ohh man....that made my day.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v3.0

OK-----Just started watching Macross 7 for the first time thanks to a guy on the forums here. It's not bad, actually getting a little better with each episode. I'm about 6 or so into it. Already tired of the songs, but hey, it's Macross, whatta gonna do??? LOL'ed a couple of times at Basara's lines. I really like his character and the question of his background so far. Liking the Max/Millia divorced/on the outs story line also. Mylene's annoying, but what 14 yr old girl isn't? And what's up with the drummer in the band? Never says a word. And it looks like a girl with breasts, but is it a guy??? LOL?? Anyway, back to the action! -
Double Nuts is awesome. It was my first and only YF-19 purchase and I love it. Nothing more to say really. No problems thus far. Had it almost a year I think.
