  1. KEEP HER! Ive got a 1:32 scales F-16 that's been in my closet for like 10 yrs unbuilt..I can't imagine how BIG that F-14 is gonna be!
  2. Next up--Finemolds 1:144 Falcon...I won't bore you all with the details (not to mention the sheer amount of bottles of cleaners, polishes, and waxes) of the almost 8 hrs that went into the taking the scratches off the main canopy, and getting the 3 clear plastic pieces ready... However, I must say the canopy masks I bought from the Starship Modeler Website were worth their weight in GOLD! Highly recommended!
  3. I cleaned mine up in about an hour with a new #11 xacto blade, and mine are ready for paint. I will be more than happy to post painted pics when they are done. I think they are great little additions.. Jeez...
  4. WHERE did you find ANY of these for "CHEAP"???? I can be of help with your resin and airbrush questions..PM me.
  5. I think you should try that poll again!
  6. Weeeell, could you simply photocopy them and mail them to me???? That would be GREAT!
  7. How many BOMMMBA songs does it play?
  8. I was lucky enough to score them off of a fellow MW world member here who bought the kit and just applied a few of the water slide decals, he sold me the rest of the decals, the glow in the dark stickers and the PE parts. I saw you posting in the same thread..I was worried you were gonna beat me to them! sorry buddy! LOL! As I said above, I've never done PE parts so this may be a bit of a train wreck. I think I'm gonna try airbrushing a few on the tree and THEN putting them on the SDF-1. The most frustrating thing about this is there is NOTHING to show where Yamato intended for you to place any of the parts...so as Harrison Ford says..."I don't know....I'm making this up as I go along"..
  9. so upon further inspection, the PE SDF-1 parts are attached to a kind of yellow backing paper and they are sticky on the back side. Good for me..don't have to deal with super glue on my SDF-1 plastic. So, I'm gonna paint some and stick a few on this weekend hopefully.
  10. WOW! good read! I'm SOOOOOOooooo there! No more PINK Vader sabers!!!
  11. Those Vipers are gorgeous!!
  12. I decided after 20 some odd years of an old hand me down single action airbrush and an old and VERY loud Montgomery Wards $99 air compressor, that for my birthday I would treat myself to something new...so hear we go. Then I decided to start adding all kinds of little decals from Yamato's SDF-1 model kit that a fellow MW guy sold to me to my existing SDF-1. (along with the glow in the dark ones--haven't done any of those yet). I also have included a pic of the photo etch parts sheet, which I am working up the nerve to try sometime soon...
  13. I spray all my models with Testors rattlecan Dullcote....just to seal it and protect the decals..however...i have had it have a "wrinkling' effect on some decals if I used decal set solution..this was simple to remedy by running over them with a q-tip, but did cause me to almost have a heart attack..
  14. that last pic is epic...great lighting!
  15. I thought it was a stand to prop up the guy once you glued all his stuff on...
  16. Trying to convince myself to go though the process of building this as I already have the Yamato 1:60...LOL...wish they would make a 1:48 of it!!!
  17. DISREGARD!! I figured out the head is on the two little stick things! sorry! all good!
  18. OK....I'm missing "the HEAD" LOL! that's what was throwing me off. Can you send me one with the next batch?
  19. I got my set in the mail. They are cool, however...I have a question....can you describle what parts attach to what or post a couple of pics...Im confused!
  20. in my opinion, I would try some decal set solution. I have used it on some things and had it work fantastically well, others not so much. Can't hurt to try. Water slides are ALWAYS preferable to stickers for me anyway. As for the best way to panel line...some people say Gundam markers, some say Micron Pens..(i have used these--good but very dark black lines) OR you could try weathering wash. Carefully paint over/fill in the lines and then wipe away the extra. PRACTICE first however on an old toy or model that you don't care about!
  21. good advice so far...keep it coming! thanks!
