Who needs Yamato???!!! Finished my 1:100 Phalanx today! Was gonna weather him but just can't bring myself to do it. He's tooo pretty! I usually do NOT do well with Macross kits---especially old ones---but I'm really pleased with how this little guy turned out! This also represents my first kit using almost all acrylic paints---which I'm still not in love with over enamels, but they are SO much easier to airbrush quickly and cleanup! Not everyone's favorite Destroid to be sure...but I've always liked him! Enjoy..

Thanks for the interest guys...mom has had an 04 Kia Optima she bought new and so she wants another Kia. She's had zero problems with it and the dealership is clammering to get their hands on low mileage 04's apparently.... FIne by me....however...gotta let a playa play as they say, so me being the car nut in the family, we are going to drive the new Sonata...maaaybe go by the Ford and Chevy dealers as well...just so she has something to compare the new Optima with. Mind you, mom is looking at $$$ first, and everything else second! LOL! I gotta say----I'm in the Sonata camp so far....that's one good looking car IMHO!

not reaally digging those Invid sculpts at all if I'm honest. They just look....off...somehow. Especially the Pincer Command Unit and Royal Command ones. Which are two of my favs. Whomever did the Toynami bookend sculps I think did a fantastic job. Those look great. Wish someone would just make toys out of those! Alphas and Invids!

..waves hand in Jedi Mind Trick Motion...."yeeees, you neeeeeed to make those"!!!! and yes..Toynami Alphas and Blue Beta, and EXO's figs...which I still need to finish painting..... LOL. here's my vintage 80's Robowreck/Mospeada stuff...(and my 2 vintage Alphas just for my boy Agent---They have seen a lot of ummm---battles back in the day!) don't have a place to display all these guys yet...maybe someday. I still love the BIG Matchbox Invids.

soo after letting him sit broken and unfinished for a couple of months...Mr. Glaug has returned! Through some miracle of superglue and Ambroid Pro-Weld, late one night this week, I got the arm reattached and glued the legs to the body so it would actually stand up right. I'll try to clean it up some more and throw a wash and some decals on it I guess.....since obviously we are NEVER gonna see one from Toynami or Yamato... I gotta have some kinda bad guy leader pod around!
