  1. Anyone got a good desktop pic (or two, or three) of the 00-Raiser Gundam?
  2. No, you're wrong... slightly. I was atrocious. No 'damn near' about it.
  3. Uh, yeah... that made a lot of sense...
  4. The sad part is, the hard-core fanboys are clinging to any kind of Hollywood news, in the hope of it fruthering the cause of the RT:LAM. The latest craze is as follows... Since Gillermo Del Torro has passed on the Hobbit, the die-hards are swearing up and down that it means that Gillermo is all rarin' to go for the LAM... Sick, demented, and funny, but also sad and depressing at the same time.
  5. There are two of the 'Defenders' line I'd LOVE to get my hands on... 'Thoren' and 'Gartan' (Both originally mecha from 'Fang of the Sun: Dougram') Oh, it'd be nice to get those again...
  6. LMAO!! In reality, I had met a friend, to show him the model, and I happened to have my camera handy. Thanks for the feedback, GT!
  7. I wish I could get ahold of a schemetic like that for the Tomahawk Destroid... Is there, by some chance, something like that out there?
  8. I finished my Perfect Grade 00-Raiser model, Friday. Here's some pics. I'm waiting to do the markings until I can get some practice with rub-on decals and clear-coat spray.
  9. I can't believe I'm saying this, but... Why in the world would HG do anything, except for a financial return? 'Artistic Merit' means nothing to a business. In the end, every business in the world is set up to get a financial return on an investment. (Damn, did I just DEFEND HG?!? )
  10. UPDATE: For those who care... (hearing crickets, proceeding anyway) I got the clutch issues resolved today, and proceeded to build both arms, the backpack, and the GN-drive housings. Tomorrow, I start on the shoulder-sheilds, and the weapons. Soon, with the 0-Raiser's completion, I should have someting to be proud of! YAY!
  11. Sorry, it doesn't fly. One of the more refreshing aspects of this thread, as well as the site as a whole, is the tangible lack of trolling and flame-baiting. HG's practices aside, the comment was still a bit low, considering the standards that most people participating in this thread hold themselves to. Just because HG's a festering pot of swill, and Carl Macek was a hack, doesn't mean we gotta sink that low. That's the kind of thing a certain podcaster does.
  12. That's a sadness, in itself. Regardless of weather or not the films get made, they've lost an incredible talent to compliment the films. One can only hope they don't settle for someone like Michael Bay, once the films do get the green light (A dubious prospect, at best).
  13. That's in pretty poor taste...
  14. If memory serves correctly, pllanes have had a gold-tinted canopy for some time, starting with the A-6 Intruder's cousin, the EA-6B Prowler. The gold in the canopy was to protect the cockpit's electronics from the enormous amount of power from the Prowler's Electronic Warfare packages. For me, the most noticable canopy to have gold inlay is the F-16's. Viewed the right way, you can barely see the pilot inside, what with the gold-inlay being so dense.
  15. First off, I wanted the challenge. A challenge, I might say, that hasn't beaten me, yet. All I have to do is find the solution, which might be to just remove the springs from the clutch-packs. Secondly, I wanted the light-up stuff.
  16. I'd love to find the person that designed the 00-Raiser PG, and ask him just what the frak he was smoking when he decided that pressure-clutches in the joints would be a good idea! ARGH!!!!
  17. So, let me get this straight. If we look closely enough at the boobs, we'll see a 'SRS' stamp, as well as a decal telling us that, because of the unsafe nature of the boobs, we shouldn't put small children in car seats next to them?
  18. Oh, there will be shots taken. Sice I'm the EXTREMELY LUCKY recipeint of this build, there will be some 'action' shots taken, to illustrate certain parts of my fan-fic novel. I still cannot believe that I'm lucky enough to have this thing. THANK YOU, BLUE!!!!
  19. That's no surprise, is it? Every RT production story has multiple versions, depending on how old it is, how bad the outcome is, and how gullible the audience is.
  20. I got mine (00-Raiser Kit) from HLJ for roughly $180 USD. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN961016
  21. Well, I just recieved my 00-Raiser kit, today, and to be completely honest, I'm a bit overwhelmed. It looks like it's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun to build! For those folks who've done this kit, I have a question: In the head unit, do the eyes glow, as well as the red crown-piece? Thanks.
  22. I just picked up the MG RX-78 GP02A 'Coating' version. (Yeah, I know, my model selection is a bit odd... ) Any particular tricks to keep the sprue-cuts from being too blatant on the finished model?
  23. Recently, I ordered two items from HLJ. The PG -00 Raiser kit, and the 'Special Weathering' version of the OD Destroid Tomahawk. I ordered these items on 4/18, but since I slightly overspent my income tax refund, I had to wait until the following week-end to cover the slight defficit in payment. Needless to say, I got the payment in to them. And, here it is, three weeks later, and I still haven't gotten a shipping confirmation from them. Is this usual? Or, am I just 'special'?
  24. Not for lack of trying, though... In her dialogue, Grace said something to the effect that the Protoculture feared the Vajra, and worshipped them as gods, even. Seeing this idea, she may have thought that she could systematically wipe out any and all resistance that came her way. Could she have? That's another thing, entirely. No one knows just how many Vajra there are. WE could have seen just a small fraction of the total galactic population in 'Frontier', and thier homeworld. WE do know that their evolutionary processes are damn-near instantanious, and they have incubation hives all over the place (That is, it's reasonable to assume so), so who knows just how amny there really are?
  25. Seeing as I'm waiting for a PG -00 Raiser, I gotta ask... Why don't you like it? Or, more to the point, why do you think it barely qualifies as 'PG'?
