  1. I gotta disgree, slightly, with you. I thought the casting was well done. Every character was cast pretty well. Rorschach was excellent, the best part of the film. I only had one real problem with the film, the sex scene in 'Archie' was waaaaaaay too gratuitous... In the book, there was nothing like it. I gotta remove a couple respect point from Snyder for that... he was doing so well, up to that point.
  2. Honestly, I don't know for certain, but it might have something to do with the fact that as soon as our new president started talking, the stock market, and thus the economy as a whole, took a dive...
  3. You want a good barometer for how the economy is going? Try my job: Local LTL trucking. A bit of an explaination, here: I go around the greater Seattle area picking up little bits of freight all over the place. By 'little bits', I mean anywhere from one-to-three pallets, all the way to 26-30 pallets... now, I know this means bupkis to a lot of people, but the simple explaination is this. The more pallets I get, the more freight is moving, the better the economy. Now, another point. Guys in my line usually see a drop in actual freight shipments during the winter months. When I first started, I thought that, with the Christmas season and all, winter would be a strong season for us, but that isn't the case. Most of the holiday freight we carry is sent out during the spring and summer, with a few panic shipments in the fall. Finally, I come to the point. (YAY!!! right?) This last winter, ever since the election, we saw a SHARP drop in freight. So much so, that most of our drivers were lucky to eek out 30 hours a week. It's showing a small upward turn now, in the last week, but still... With that, the only toy purchases I've made this year were as follows: A new laptop, since my old one was six years old, and dying. I did that with my income tax refund. and, a Revoltech Soltic H8 Dougram, for a whopping $8... (A nostalgic purchase for me... if anyone cares to ask, I'll gladly explain) Anyway... there's my two bits' worth...
  4. Hey, folks! Well, just as soon as I posted the message about my first 'failed' attempt to contact overdrive, they sent me a message saying that they had the decal sheet for me! Don't I feel silly. Anyway, Thanks to you all for all the help! R
  5. Any way of getting the DVD or Bonaparte figure in the US? I'd like to get them both. Also, would the DVD (assuming it's available, that is) work on a region-1 DVD player?
  6. Would you be willing to share the scan file?
  7. Well, I've tried 'OverDrive', to no avail. No response at all... The place (not sure I can give out the name, here)I got the figures from said that Olive Drab only comes with the 'add-on' sheet... but I did suspect some BS. I'll give overdrive another try, tho... see if they get back to me this time...
  8. Ok, I've got all three versions of Yamato's 1/60 Destroid Tomahawk. I love 'em! Only one problem, though... The Olive Drab version comes ONLY with an 'Add-on' decal sheet, whereas the original tan comes with a full sheet of standard markings... Well, Tan's sheet has a lot of different options, but there aren't enough decals to split between both itself, and Olive Drab. Add to that, 'Special Weathering' has a water-slide decal sheet. I wish I could lay hands on two more of those sheets. Now, as far as the sheet I want is concerned, I'd be willing to pay a reasonable price for a full, unused sheet. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! R
  9. Trying like hell to find a way of getting a main decal sheet for my 1/60 Destroid Tomahawk Olive Drab Version. I tried the Overdrive request, and haven't heard anything back, yet. Anybody got any ideas?
