    I wish they had borrowed the Fold effect from the earlier versions of Macross I like them much better than the version on Fronter, and they have been done on many other Scifi movies, and are not original New Star Trek, Star Wars, were they just blink in to existence. I still don't like it when some one steals a symbol to cover up their lack of creativity Emblem of the military/government in Astro Plan; UN-SPACY Macross are gust to similar. Usually when a Artist is so enamored with another's artist work they use one part of that persons work like the Wachowski brothers used the Digital Rain from GITS but to take multiple items from another persons work it tels a lot about the creators/artist ability.

    It is that kind of indifferent attitude that allows the chines to take more than they give (I don't mean Products) giving them access to the US Animation markets to peddle their copycat wears would you use counterfeit Colgate toothpaste. Even though it may not meat the criteria for any Court sanction this movie is just to much like Macross (I Don't care if they say it is a tribute) to be considered original so unless they show some kind of agreement saying the Japanese holders of the rights to Macross are alowing who ever made this train wreck to use their work. I might be able to accept if it was just the Fighter/Robots they borrowed like when the matrix borrowed the Digital Raine from Ghost in the Shell but to borrow so many elements Fold effect, Fighters/robots, Hoard of Alien fighters, Flag of what ever organization. Given the Chines Media unwillingness/inability to criticize Their own government they probably wont have the inept/bureaucratic/corrupt government that has been a staple of Macross since the beginning.

    Its only a sequel if they bought the rights to Macross from Japan paying the creators their due not cloning it, and slapping "OH its a homage" or what redundant drivel they use to cover their ass.

    I actually saw that cartoon several days ago I found out about it from a chines Forum. The cartoon was created for Chines consumption, and like many things created in china they are meant to instill a sense that any thing made for the Peoples Liberation Army/Air force, and Navy is invincible.
