Honestly I like them both. However, my wallet can only afford one. I already have the VF-0S from Arcadia and I am trying to only have one of each Valkyrie gen. The 0D is similar to the 0S, but still very different. >< The 51 looks awesome and is a direct enemy of the 0S so I'm leaning towards it.

Hi guys. Just wondering. How often do you guys transform your Valks? Usually I will transform my Valks immediately when I get them and I leave them in battroid mode for over a year before I transform them again. Lol Sometimes for a few years without transformation.. lol I guess I get nervous about transforming them because it takes me a while since I try to be extra careful and follow the transformation videos. I have never transformed my DX VF-31C since I bought it early January (just displayed) so I am pretty excited to transform it today to see what all the rave is about

Yeah you're right. A YF-21 and VF-11 DX would be amazing lol
-
Kuma Style, your photos have me wanting to pick up a renewal VF-25. I've always like the VF-25 design. How do you like it compared to the VF-19 and VF-1 DX toys? And does anyone think Bandai will ever do a version 3.0 for the Frontier Valks or is 2.0 probably as far as we will get?
-
I'm excited for this but I don't think I can bite anymore. The last Arcadia product I bought was the VF-0S and that bird is awesome, but way too expensive for what it is. I'd say $300 is my limit for toys these days. Bandai is putting out such high quality valks with full tampo printing to the point where Arcadia is no longer a feasible option for me

Supposedly you can pull out the head laser. If that is true then that may be the safest bet.

Okay I see what you mean. Good thing my Valks are all in boring standing positions. Lol Thanks for clarifying

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Nice. If I didn't already have one that I got from Mandarake I would be all over this. Lol These are getting rarer and rarer. I love Yamato's VF-19's -
If it's a strategic move then it is working on me lol Personally, the DX VF-1J showed me how Bandai has the ability to make a superior VF-1 when compared to Yamcadia. For the longest time, no other company came close to touching Yamcadia's VF-1 products. Honestly, it has made me think about wanting clear out my Yamcadia 1/60 V2 VF-1 toys. However, it has also made me yearn for Bandai's own 1/60 line

That is clean. I want to pare down on my toys as well to get this balanced look. It just looks like artwork now. Very tasteful I think my lady would be very happy. Lol

Oh wow. So just leaving it standing over time (without support of a stand) will actually weaken the joints over time. I had no idea.
-
Thanks for the tip! Also, what do you mean posing without support?
-
Do Bandai DX joints generally get really loose the more you play with it or stay relatively stiff enough to still hold poses? I want to play with it more but a little reluctant due to fear of joint looseness. My Yamato 1/60 YF-21 couldn't even stand on its own after a while :( How about Arcadia VF-1 toys (might as well ask lol)? Thanks guys!

So how has everyone's favorite toy ranking changed now that it's 2019? Top 3 1. Bandai DX VF-1J 2. Bandai DX YF-19 3. Arcadia VF-0S Honorable mentions: - Bandai DX VF-31 (haven't transformed yet so it could move into top 3 once I do. -Yamato VF-19S and Kai (these could easily have taken the number 3 spot depending on how I am feeling lol)
-
Sorry to hear man. That sucks, but at the same time this is a little funny. Lol
-
No issues getting the wing tabs out of the legs? I found it amazingly hard to get out.
-
Sorry. I made the 0S sound worse than it actually is. Lol The legs on my VF-0S are solid too and everything works great on it. It's just when I compare it to the Bandai DX VF-1J, the bottom half of the DX just feels slightly more refined and robust.
-
Agreed. The Arcadia VF-0S is a beautiful Valk and one of my favorite Valkyrie toys. One of the best made for sure in my book. However the DX VF-1J is, imo, slightly better due to the better/tigher hips and solid feeling/less creaky legs.
-
Has anyone experienced the wrist on the Arcadia VF-0S forming cracks over time? Is this a problem this toy is known for? I have not messed with the hands (only displayed toy) since I bought it years ago and just saw cracks forming on both wrists.
-
I feel the same way! This VF-1 is perfect. The definitive VF-1 toy. I'm once again reminded of how much I love the simplicity of the VF-1 design and transformation. For the past few months I've been on a VF-19/YF-19 toy binge so this toy is refreshing
-
I just transformed it to B mode. The wings are even but they don't line up perfectly >< I think I can live with that considering everything else seems to be fine.
-
I just received my VF-1J from Amazon Japan. Package arrived in great condition. I handled fighter mode and I am loving the heft! After holding the DX I held my Arcadia VF-1 and it felt like I was holding a model kit.. lol The DX reminds me of Yamato's VF-19 valks in terms of feel. It feels chunky, hefty, and robust to play with. Just the way I like it
-
For those who have the VF-31 DX toys. Would you say the DX VF-1 is on par in terms of build quality?
-
I was intending on only collecting one of the Delta toys due to limited space. Lol I guess we will see lol
