Is this the nail polish method? I tried clear nail polish on one of my v2 vf-1 hips, but that only lasted a couple movement of the hips..
-
Quick question about Yamcadia VF-1 toys. Does wearing the super/strike parts cause any problems with the hips loosening over time if I display it like that for a while?

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Nice! Any closeups of M&M? Lol -
I transformed my VF-1D this morning from battroid to gerwalk and fighter. Like others have mentioned earlier, I can't get the feet to rock back far enough for gerwalk so that's a big disappointment. Fighter mode is nice and tight, but the Yamcadia fighter mode is my preferred toy for that. I think the battroid mode is where I'll leave it from now on. It's the mode where I feel this small scale really shines for playability. Bummer about gerwalk..

Is it suppose to have as much rotation travel backwards as far as it does forward? I also felt like the back rotation for both the feet seemed a bit limiting on my 1D.
-
Yes, I also felt that was the case when I was handling the HMR. I wish Arcadia would redo the VF-1 hips to be more like Bandai. That is the greatest improvement that I'm thoroughly enjoying. Bandai is amazing, but I'll still root for the small guy ^^

Wow I'm really impressed with this HMR figure (my first one!). The playability is similar to robot damashii figures and I really like how balanced the figure feels with the metal feet, like the DX VF-1 toys. The VF-1D reminds me of something out of Star Wars. I think I'm hooked.. lol

hlj shipping notice received for vf-1d and kampfer ^^
-
Omgosh that is a heck of a price increase ><
-
Wow. Magnificent. That blue is mesmerizing!
-
I do prefer Yamato Valks when it comes to the shade of white used on the VF-1S V2 toys lol
-
Now that I'm committed to at least the Vermillion Squadron and a Roy DX, I'm thinking real hard about slowing down on the robot spirit line to make sure there is enough space for the giants. Lol I love my robot spirit Gundams and they are so fun to play with, but Macross toys are such delightful pieces of art to own Each Macross toy I can appreciate and view as a unique masterpiece on it's own.

That's pretty good lol

Look at all this teamwork. You guys are great. Thank you very much

OMG thank you I got one in!!! Yippeee!! I didn't waste my time staying up. lol
-
This is so sad. I feel like weeks of planning and anticipation wasted I feel pathetic staying up so late with no victory before I doze off.
-
wth. missed both amiami and hooby search.... and where the heck is hlj??
-
Oh man I'm so freaking excited for Max! I don't want to pose my toys too much to keep the joints nice and tight so if I am able to grab two Max DX toys I'll designate one of my Max toys as the "beater" VF-1 DX and pose/transform the heck out of it. Lol
-
I hope I don't regret not getting this (saving for the TV Max DX pre-order). It has a very cool fighter mode but I'm not just not the biggest fan of it's battroid mode, which is my favorite mode to display a Valk. I believe I only want to get the VF-4 because everyone else on here seems to be getting it and plus it's available right now, no waiting... Lol
-
Anyone experience any looseness from this toy or is it holding up pretty well so far?
-
I thought the 1J would be enough for me, but now I'm thinking Vermillion Squadron plus a Focker. I need to make more space >< lol
-
BTW, how do you guys hold this toy in 1/48 scale? I usually pick it up with both hands by the legs with my pinkies resting under the feet. The 1/60 I could comfortably hold it by gently pinching the chest and backpack since it was light enough where I didn't feel like it would cause any stress on the toy. With the 1/48 I don't feel comfortable doing that since there is so much weight in it's legs. Lol
-
Yes! This is my dream Macross toy I wanted to pick up the Yamato V2 version of TV Max, but it has always been a bit expensive paying aftermarket and I really dislike the initial V2 redesigned crotch locking mechanism.

Mine came with a little out the box. It was definitely not from mishandling.
