I love the Yamato VF-19 1/60 toys. Those are Yamato's best work imo when it comes to Valks. So chunky and robust feeling for a Valk toy. It has a nice weight to it throughout the toy. I feel comfortable handling the Yamato VF-19. The transformation process is also easier on the Yamato. The only limitation is see are the ankles, but they don't bother me too much since I can still stand it up in Battroid mode no problem and there are tricks to get it to stand in Gerwalk. I also have the Bandai DX YF-19. It is impressive and sleek. They've added some cool articulation to the legs and waist. It's more detailed and a little more involved when transforming. It has Bandai's take on the proportions, which give it a sportier look. Everything feels solid, but I still prefer Yamato's chunky robustness feel. The hips are extremely tight on this toy so I had to loosen the screws. However, the ankles are phenomenal on this toy. All in all, I love them both And yes, if the size is not a problem for you then the Bandai DX VF-1 is the ultimate VF-1 toy to date imo.

Not going to lie. The green on the DYRL VF-1A Kakizaki looks amazing in DX form. Must resist. There is no more space for another DX. Lol

After getting the VF-4 Roy in addition to my existing VF-1D, I am an even bigger fan now. Holy crap how did they manage to brilliantly execute the complexities of the VF-4 in 1/100 scale. I need more HMRs to handle. I can't wait for an updated HMR VF-19 and hopefully they make other VFs models as well.

I have a Yamato V2 VF-1 with extremely loose left hip. There is no resistance at all. Is there something I can do to bring back some friction?

I agree. I loved the hi metal r vf-1D when I got it for those same reasons. Then I jumped on the DX VF-1 train and I forgot about the little brother. This past week I have been handling the little brother again and it has been fun and peaked my interest in the hi metal r line again.

Is the VF-4 a better toy than the VF-1 hi metal r? I'm deciding between the VF-4Gs or the VF-1a Hikaru with strike parts.

Yeah the DX fast packs and missile set makes it too expensive for me. I'm satisfied with displaying the Arcadia VF-1 toys with those things while displaying the DX toys bare.

Nice to know removal and installation is not too hard. Mine came broken too but I super glued it back. I did order a replacement from someone on this forum. I'll keep it as a spare until something happens to the original again.

Who here has or is thinking about getting rid of their Yamcadia VF-1s now that there are DX VF-1s? I'm thinking if I have a VF-1A TV Max, VF-1J Hikaru, and hopefully VF-1S Roy that I'll be pretty happy having one of each and that will satisfy my VF-1 needs. I might keep one (or two) Yamcadia for the strike packs and missles.

My Eva-02 MB arrived as well and this figure is phenomenal. I want to pick up Eva-01 but I am just not a big fan of that head sculpt Looking forward to Unit-00 though. Harder to mess up Unit-00's head I hope.
