Game of Thrones Theory Discussion. Books. Show. Spoilers.
Dynaman replied to Gakken85's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
None of the Arya rumors I've heard so far make a lick of sense. The waif is not an important enough character for any of the viewers to even care if she was being tested for example.- 539 replies

> Having hatred or anger over a movie you haven't seen IS ignorant because you factually do not know anything more about it other than it's appearance. Sorry there, they advertised it with one insultingly bad promo, one just bad, and a third one that was passable. I don't hate it - but I have no intention of wasting money on it in a theater. As for the original cast - after the second move I didn't care if they ever did another and I would NOT see it at the theater unless it had very positive reviews.

I have to admit they trailers have gotten better, my chance of seeing it in theaters has gone from "Oh Hell No" to "Heck No" but it has the potential to be a Netflix rental.

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time II: The Quickening
Dynaman replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It would have been far easier (and much quicker) to write down what was correct with it. It really had a lot of promise but they totally messed up every last bit by the end.- 854 replies

Did you see the contract they worked under? Was this newly done voice work since then?

I'm hoping they figure out it was a bad idea and put it out for syndication rather than cancelling it. First season will most likely end up on Netflix or Amazon and I'll try to see it there (at least on disk if nothing else)

They had to have SOMETHING more substantial, much more substantial, for a series pitch than just staying they wanted to do an anthology series.

And it is garbage, at least from the trailer they released.
-
Is there any real footage yet? Still a bit early for that but I would hope they have the cast signed by now and most of the sets started.

Just saw the McGyver remake promo on blastr - It has been awhile since I last stopped a promo before the end. The show looks dreadful.
-
It still had to pull the "female" and "racist" joke bit, in one badly done "joke" too. I do agree it is a much better trailer. Still a Netflix rental for me.

Someone please tell me I was reading it wrong - international releases will be under the Star Blazers name for this series. Considering how badly they botched the 2199 SB release I don't see how that would work. AT LEAST release the last 2 2199 BDs before announcing something like that...

I hated every last Transformers movie (and I've only seen the first one). Doesn't negate the fact that they are blockbusters. -

Dynaman replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Everybody knew the Titanic was going to sink and that Apollo 13 was going to make it home too. Not saying it will be good (many times prequels end up answering things that should never be answered) but knowing the outcome does not mean the movies will be good or bad. That goes even more so for Rogue One where the fate of most (all?) of the characters involved is unknown. -

Hit detection in all of the BF titles from BF 1942 on is terrible. I don't know how the valve titles (Counterstrike, Day of Defeat) got it so correct while these were bad. Then I had some people say it was due to the game modelling physics - nearly laughed my posterior off. I've not played anything since the original MW so maybe they corrected it after that.
