  1. Any film that comes in second on its opening weekend to a film in its second week of release is doomed.
  2. I have a chromecast and do not recommend it. The screen sharing feature is jerky and the audio often goes out of synch. Netflix - already have that on just about every other device. It also does not work in most hotels which is what I bought the thing for in the first place. Reminds me - I need to purchase the cable to attach my latptop to an HDMI port...
  3. this is one of those where NOT knowing the dialog is better, just watch the pretty explosions!
  4. The advertisements for this movie were actually making it look like it is a decent movie. If I didn't have a limit to the number of films I watch on the big screen (once a month is a LOT, usually once every 3 months) I might have tried watching it. It will be a Netflix rental though.
  5. If the Ultimate Edition is supposed to be better I really feel sorry for all you poor sods that saw this in the theater. Movie was dull as dishwater, had plot holes the size of a whale, and the characters were unbelievably stupid.
  6. I actually forgot about that one(s). Now it will take another year or so to forget.
  7. If you did not see the "Birdmen" from that show you owe it to yourself to look again, 5 seconds ought to do it. I mean, speaking of trash... As for Lost in Space, it gave us one of my favorite MST3K lines "This is like cheap versions of the Lost in Space sets"
  8. They are still making ride to movie movies? I may have to revise my stance a bit, have any of those things made money after the Haunted House one?
  9. The first Alice movie made much bucks... I seriously doubt we will see a third one however.
  10. I gotta admit those writing credits have me a little bit worried. It is a Lost in Space remake though, how much worse than The Great Vegetable Rebellion can it get?
  11. They remake successful things, Tron is not in that category. When the other films don't do well some guy at Disney will get a chance, till then they have a full slate of the other items you mentioned that are doing well.
  12. Looks like Lost in Space is actually going to happen. I can binge watch all ten episodes when they are done too. http://www.cnet.com/news/netflix-picks-up-reboot-of-1960s-tv-show-lost-in-space/
  13. > If I had to choose between them, it's a no-brainer. If your choice was another Tron you would be kicked off the board. Movie companies like Disney do not care about Art or Craft or anything of the sort, they care about profit and so far Star Wars has profit written all over it while Tron does not. Money (even for Disney) is limited and release dates are a perishable commodity not to be squandered.
  14. No - they have one which was an under-performer and the very wisely decided to not waste any more money on it. If the Star Wars spinoffs do poorly than perhaps Tron may get another shot but if you are a studio head and had the choice between Greenlighting another Tron movie or another Star Wars movie which one would you choose? And be honest.
  15. In the first movie Superman let everyone know he could see through walls when he was in the interrogation room and looked right through the two way mirror. Plenty of people in there to blab it out to the press (even if Lois might not have to begin with)
  16. Perhaps VINCent could show up in Star Wars though!
  17. > and of course The Hound I have a feeling she is going to end up letting him live, and with that break the cycle she would be in, or she kills him and goes off the deep end. (I'm going with live at the moment)
