  1. Yet more bad news. http://www.blastr.com/2016-10-26/star-trek-discovery-loses-bryan-fuller-showrunner
  2. Give it some time. The group will need to get stuck in a trap so they will do something VERY stupid and VERY out of character in order to make it happen.
  3. I'm watching Aldnoah Zero, off and on. The show is really not grabbing my attention but it is good enough to catch an episode every so often. I do want to catch some of the Gundam stuff being released.
  4. Doesn't Jean Grey live in the new timeline? If so he has no reason to go off all grumpy and moody and hence no reason to end up losing his claws.
  5. I'll have to give Westworld a shot. However, popped in to say that Based on "The Expanse" I picked up the first book in the series and I'm really liking it. I'll probably have read the whole series by the time the show is back in January (and I'll be watching that too - best thing on SyFy since BSG)
  6. $30 a ticket!!! Well, I am NOT going to see it at the theater.
  7. Bought it for streaming and it holds up well on a second viewing. They really have the character interactions down pat in this one.
  8. I don't remember Hollywood EVER getting computer interactions and capabilities correct. (I was going to give the most egregious examples but my brain exploded trying to think of the worst ones...). Ask any professional about how Hollywood depicts their specialty and they say the same thing - which make me wonder how well the movies ABOUT Hollywood depict things...
  9. Better is just watching the movie. Which for the first two Terminators (and I argue the third) is the way to go. Onto an older bit in this thread - is there still another Terminator movie in the works?
  10. I saw a commercial for this finally, is Chris Pratt playing the Yul Brenner role? If so he just did not pull it off (from the commercial that I saw). On my list to see when it gets to video.
  11. Latest Dr. Who season handled the old question about what came first pretty well. First rule of time travel is not to look too closely - it will always turn out badly.
  12. After catching 5 minutes or so of the first teaser thingy for this I have no interest in it. Totally messed up the character in that time. I'll keep checking posts to see if it gets anywhere near the original in terms of characterization.
  13. I loved it from start to finish. Personally I think they showed just enough each episode. Knowing the "Monster" before the end is ok since there was more interesting things going on to find out at the end. I was more interested in the character bits and the twists that were done with the standard formula for a show of this type.
  14. Takes me a while to get round to watching some things. Binge watched the first four episodes and now it is too late to watch the rest - got my plans for tomorrow set!
  15. Cool, I really liked the last couple.
  16. Premiere has been pushed back to May, not surprised as it does not appear that they even have a cast yet.
  17. Toxic Avenger is getting a remake! Going to be more grounded in reality (Boo! Hiss!) http://www.blastr.com/2016-9-13/toxic-avenger-getting-live-action-remake-sausage-party-co-director
  18. If said villain has an IQ higher than a vegetable Batman may be in trouble...
  19. She is only in her early forties and with regular exercise looking young is not that difficult till the wrinkles start.
  20. Interesting that the term Star Blazers is on that preview. Otherwise it is all Japanese - is this an American version somehow or are they really sticking that on the originals somewhere?
  21. Very good movie. To anyone that says that movies are ruined by CGI I will tell them to watch this movie.
