  1. Strangely enough I just read an article from JMS saying that there was no chance since the TV series rights holders will not release or sell the rights and have no interested in making a new series either. JMS does have theatrical movie rights to the franchise but he said nobody wants to make a movie if they don't have the rights to everything (well, except for Star Trek of course)
  2. So, everyone is also ok with Rethuglicans I take it?
  3. Libtardise? Please keep your crap politics to yourself.
  4. None of that is limited to the "afternoon" shows. This is partly why I try to avoid going on opening weekend too.
  5. SyFy wire also had some blurb about two possible Star Trek movies in the, very early, pipeline. That would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.
  6. > Harmony Gold was shutting down these fan film projects because they were angry that those fans were creating higher quality material can be simplified to > Harmony Gold was shutting down these fan film projects because they were angry that those fans were creating material
  7. Watched all of Lost in Space, while not perfect (far too many people wandering off alone or not telling everyone something important bits) it was well worth watching. Looking forward to the second season.
  8. Now they really are scrapping the bottom of the remake barrel. I guess it is better than remaking something that was actually good.
  9. Night court was great, the Halloween episode still eats at me to this day. RIP Harry.
  10. > They drew out a swift kill of the reminding Resistance into a (months/weeks) long chase. And the fact the Empire (oops, first order) could jump with part of their fleet to box in the Rebels (oops again, Resistance) is not even thought up.
  11. Awesome! Looking forward to this with 2202 now as well.
  12. I'll ditto that. Luckily there is a lot of other good stuff on funimation to make signing up worth it anyway.
  13. The season opener of The Expanse was on last night and I watched it just now - looks like another solid season coming up on the show. The books this is based on took a slight dip in quality after the items this season covers so I wonder how the show will do (only a slight dip, kinda like the author lost focus on what he wanted to do with the series). Lost in Space on Netflix tomorrow too. And the Krypton clips just after The Expanse made me want to try that show after all, hopefully the first episodes are still available on demand.
  14. I don't think it matters either way, I'm fairly certain this will come around in a few months no matter what. Got at least a couple of good pictures from a couple shows out of it too.
  15. My guess is that Quinto will want more money then they are willing to pay. Unless they really change things Spock would be a peripheral character in this show. Quinto is also not all that young any longer.
  16. I forgot to mention - the soundtrack in that trailer did sound like a western. Maybe with a nudge we could have Disney buy up the rights to Firefly. And that reminds me to watch Serenity again.
  17. Not watching it yet but I will be watching Stein's Gate 0, the first one was in my top ten of anime, which is quite a trick considering it is a massive talk fest. Looking forward to seeing where the time/parallel change pops in on this version - Stein's Gate is one of those films where remakes would be a good idea.
  18. Lawsuits between business partners is usually not a good sign for a renewed partnership. There are other players in the field of licensing Japanese Animation in the US that have far better relationships with the Japanese now as well. I have no prediction either way however.
  19. I missed where it said Funimation has a blu-ray. I see it will be simuldubbed and WILL signing up for that.
  20. It made under 30 million opening weekend on a 150 million budget. I expect it won't be in theaters long and that there will not be a third one.
  21. Death is not necessarily a bad thing for a Jedi. Luke said he went to (wherever he is) to die, they can (and should) make a good case for that having been a vision of the future he had but got wrong in his despair. Wrong as in he thought it would be a bad thing but ended up being a good one. Since Carrie Fisher is dead whatever role she was supposed to play in Episode 9 has a good chance of now being filled by Luke's force ghost.
