  1. Sorry but a scene that was filmed and left on the cutting room floor doesn't count. Luke has only been played by two actors so far.
  2. Sounds like the name of a TV series "Rick Hunter: Cattle Farmer" I'm guessing this will get moved out of Macross stuff over to the general scifi discussion section.
  3. They really need to move on from the first 3 movies and the Skywalker family.
  4. They should call it Samurai Bebop - sort of a reverse of the "Seven Samurai" "The Magnificent Seven" dynamic. I plan on watching this but the original is great for US audiences already so they should just stream the original series again. The movie too.
  5. My boys and I loved SpongeBob - even my wife likes the occasional joke from the show. Rest in Peace and thanks for the memories.
  6. I think that battery drain thing is a ruse. It actually takes 2 minutes 45 seconds for the main power system to charge up...
  7. I don't know, if you have Garish enough colors in the background it could be used for Peanuts animation.
  8. I'll revive the dead to say that the second season of the "new" MST3K dropped on Netflix today (perfect day for it) and the riffing on "Mac and Me" is some of the best of ANY MST3K ever. The movie itself is a dreadful piece of work but probably cost more to license then their usual fare since I remember it being a major release when it came out. Next up is "Atlantic Rim" which I think is one of those Asylum ripoff titles.
  9. Just watched this week's episode and I think it is the best one yet. A Fezz, some Venusian Karate, and a is hard to beat.
  10. Looking at the preview pages on the Titan site the internal art is much better, though I still had to take their word for it that Roy was Roy (well drawn, just didn't look like Roy).
  11. Never brought out Krusty before but...
  12. I really want to go to GE when it opens but the crowds will be INSANE for at least a year, probably a good bit longer.
  13. They were all crap so I don't think it much matters. I don't know the running time of the two Ewoks bits of dreck and have no intention of ever finding out. As for the Ewok stuff being at movie theaters it might have been outside of the US but I never saw anything in wide release here (it could have been shown at a local theater somewhere but that wouldn't count).
  14. If you include those you will have to include the Holiday Special, making "Force Awakens" the 11th film. As a distracting side note I watch the Star Wars Holiday Special (Rifftrax version) every year. The jokes about the commercials are the best. Someday I will bother to track down how Rifftrax got the rights to release this particular item.
  15. I thought the Rosa episode was a bit too preachy - not everyone in the south was a jerk, the racism was ingrained in most people (north and south) but not all of them were jerks about it. Think of the sheriff from "In the Heat of the Night" for a nuanced example that would have been helpful in the episode. It also didn't really have enough of Rosa for me. The latest episode was a good one, a good balance of history and a personal story. I freely admit part of that may be due to having no direct investment in the events (I'm from the US and it was a Pakistani/Indian/UK bit of history). I thought there would be more about that big hint dropped in the first episode, but I don't remember seeing anything else mentioned about it. Did I miss something?
  16. The two new characters allow them to add the "edgier" comedy that is required today. Smart move since having the established characters do so would have been a disaster. I still remember the first one like it was yesterday - hard to believe it has been over 20 years now.
  17. Even if the movie turns out to be the first Toy Story dud I will always have that teaser trailer.
  18. Or perhaps, maybe, just maybe, letting on that there is an actual plan and they are not just running till they run out of fuel - she would not even have needed to give details of the plan. The deleted scene with someone saying there was a spy onboard would have helped a great deal in explaining why they didn't but since it got chopped. I've never heard of a cut of Star Wars (I remember when it was just Star Wars) with Luke doing two trench runs - would be interesting to read about that (and I'll be looking it up soon). I have heard the original, cringe worthy, dialog from the original script since that was shown on some of the screen test clips that still exist. Prequel Trilogy levels of stilted dialog!
  19. I'm old and so I remember when buying a game meant you owned it. Any kind of pay to win is a no go for me. WoT being the worst offender I've actually played.
  20. Perhaps they should call the channel "CBS: All Star Trek"? http://www.startrek.com/article/new-trek-animated-series-announced
  21. Funimation shows episodes 1-13 on their site. I thought they were releasing an episode a week but I'm not keeping track - waiting for the whole thing so I can binge watch it.
  22. The art is top notch (as expected) but it is just different enough from the original that I really really really wish I could read Japanese.
  23. NOW I can watch this movie. https://www.rifftrax.com/ready-player-one?mc_cid=9c6f4751f4&mc_eid=4d818ab085#preview
  24. The second episode holds up well, very good IMHO. Interesting little series mystery was introduced as well. I didn't like the opening music as much due to the hesitations but the graphics looked nice. The ending music was better, or perhaps I just got used to it. I only remember the one line about red hair from Tennant while Smith's went on and on about it. Partly due to Amy I guess.
