  1. Nog from Deep Space Nine. He was 3 years younger then me. Thanks for the excellent character and Rest in Peace. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/22/entertainment/aron-eisenberg-star-trek-actor-dies/index.html
  2. $10+ a pop is too rich for my blood. To put on a Macross battle would take 10-20+ per side. The renders do look great though.
  3. When BSG 2004 was good it was great. When it wasn't good it just wasn't good. Original BSG is painful to watch most of the time. What they will have to do with the new one, if there is a plan, is to actually figure out what the plan is before they start filming.
  4. Another streaming service, sigh...
  5. The ending was written at the last minute and is a bit of a mess. Some great imagery though.
  6. So they threw all the, err spaghetti, on the wall to see what would stick?
  7. I must not be a big RT fan, I have NO IDEA who Captain Noble is, and all I can remember about Suzy Kramer is that I might have heard the name before but probably didn't.
  8. She is not exactly dead, just went away somewhere. I agree, even dead is better then the evil villain castoff tramp she ends up in the older stuff. That ending has a "we ran out of money and wrapped up 36 episodes in 24" vibe going. Granted I'm not reading anything but the preview pages but things sure seemed rushed.
  9. Kinda looks like Mermaid Man's ahem... Could also be a couple of frozen chickens painted funny.
  10. It does say it is a reprint of old comics from the eighties.
  11. I've not seen 2202 yet so can't comment on it - it did have a lot to live up to between 2199 and the original second season of Yamato. The New Voyages on the other hand was the start of the downhill slope for Yamato so not as much to live up to there.
  12. Just saw an announcement that Yamato 2205 is a go. Now to watch 2202...
  13. I have to admit I found the third movie entertaining in a way. I laughed my butt off in the opening sequence where Colonel know it all about stealth is sneaking around in the desert with his headlights on. I don't even remember if I watched the rest of the movie after that. I suppose I did.
  14. The thing with the Matrix is - why is the Matrix a "bad" thing. Sure your real body is in a dump but you never know that unless a bunch of jerks "wake" you up and make your life miserable.
  15. And "Cowboys vs Aliens" in case you have forgotten - which most have. (except those looking to see what kind of box office to expect with him NOT in a Bond picture)
  16. Oh man, that was bad. I mean really terrible. Wasn't Dr. No in Jamaica too? Or parts of it.
  17. Yes. The Jingoistic nonsense of the sequels was annoying. The first film, though flawed, was thought provoking. The last film (before this one) was better then the 2nd and 3rd by a long shot though.
  18. They Matrix tried to be deep but ended up very shallow. The first one had mind blowing special FX and didn't take the dime store philosophy mumbo jumbo too far. The 2nd and 3rd THOUGHT they had something profound to say, and well, they didn't
  19. Just about all of it.
  20. There really were very few "filler" episodes in B5. The ones that appeared to be filler were always setting up something for later. The problem is you had to get to later to appreciate them. The acting was very wooden (sadly we now know why and Michael O'Hare probably deserves an Oscar in retrospect) and the pacing was off in that first season as well and "The Gathering" was a case where all the exciting stuff happened off screen.
  21. That's kinda like saying Carrie Fischer was unknown till Star Wars came out. Both were cultural touchstone movies that made stars out of their actors. Just in the case of Easy Rider there was no chance of a sequel. (and it was just pretty much unheard of except in the case of low budget movie serials of low worth till Star Wars and the blockbuster era).
  22. Now for the Amazon video to become available. I've made the jump to no more physical media. And I don't want to just "rent" the right to watch it on Funimation without the ability to download.
