  1. But "Pop Chaser" was pretty darn good.
  2. I love the movie Gigi (not that movie with Jenifer Lopez, Gigi, the one with a full grown woman in a french schoolgirl outfit)
  3. I'll have to disagree with the lot of ya, Little China is a terrible film, and I love it. "The Thing" is pretty good and I like it too though.
  4. The Black Hole, it is a misfire of a movie to be sure but VINCent steals the show.
  5. I noticed that from the very first trailer.
  6. This show is still not what I would ever watch(*), but since they got past the Ice King follies it is decent. (*) - my kids watch it, otherwise I would never know anything about it.
  7. I hope it does well, the original Muppet movies went downhill quite quickly. The Stage Manager's dance bit looked good at any rate.
  8. Excalibur was THE only good Fantasy movie till Lord of the Rings(*). Hard to fault the anachronism or plate mail when the thing is fantasy to begin with. The Arthur movie that started this thread was pretty bad. (*) - Princess Bride was excellent, but it was a comedy. Sword and the Sorcerer gets an honorable mention for being sooooo bad it was good. "Hawk the Slayer" falls into the almost decent category too, if only for the rapid firing Elf and the machinegun crossbow.
  9. There are a few lines in the movie that make it sound like she was just using the whole thing for her own purpose, and not just for money. It appears that quite a bit was cut from the film for some reason. This is not a bad thing, the film we ended up with focused on Wolverine's coming to grips with killing Jean Grey, as it should be. For an example of what happens when too much is left on the screen I would point to "The Lone Ranger".
  10. Have to agree, I doubt it was the actress' fault in any way. The character existed only to be a baddie. Even the main villain had a nebulous motivation at best - or at least it seems like scenes detailing that character's motivation seemed to be missing...
  11. Netflix had it available on DVD, at least it did. The problem is the quality of the video is poor at best, the final battle scene is nearly unwatchable due to how dark it is - the ships can rarely be seen it is so muddy.
  12. Kryptonite, it all boils down to Kryptonite. That plus we know that by the end of the film Batman and Superman will be working together to take down Joker and Lex Luthor.
  13. A show about the downfall of the Protoculture would be interesting, ooops, just remembered that it would involve those creatures from Macross 7.
  14. Did you see the convention footage where the VA for Winnie the Pooh was doing Darth Vader's dialog as Winnie the Pooh, it was great "Where are those plans!"
  15. Disney will get them moving. As for the show itself, the political bits in Clone Wars would not have been a problem, IF it had not been such inane drivel. "War is Bad", yes, everyone knows that - losing a war is worse.
  16. Disney is now involved, merchandise WILL be released in a timely manner. Some people actually think Disney is an animation company, sheer madness that...
  17. Directors cut or something like that. Not the theatrical version. I only skipped through, found the part of it where McCloud turns young again and "fights" the flying guy. Turned it off. I put "fights" in quotes since that is one of the most pathetic fights scenes ever. The sword fights in the first one were great and then we get this flying junk...
  18. Although it is referenced in the very thread title, and on it's own I would not call it the WORST movie ever made, since I just recently watched some of it I HAVE to nominate it, yes of course I refer to "Highland II". I forgot just how turly wretched this turd of a movie was, and for it to so utterly trash the mythology of the first one (for some scifi rubbish no less) is shameful. I don't know how many years it will take for me to forget the hawkman/hoverboard "fight" scene this time around...
  19. I had not noticed BUT there was so much battle footage (which was all spectacular) that it may have needed to be paired down a bit to make budget. As for Domel
  20. I've just started watching High School of the Dead on Netflix. Decent show so far but the VA for the nurse isn't the best.
  21. Gee, ya think? But ask yourself, why do they ONLY show the disaster part of the movie, is the rest that bad?
