  1. If I can, gonna try and snag me one or two more Altos. Already got my Armoured and Super Pack Alto. Just needs me a naked Alto.......... he's so pretty naked ;P Eww, that sounds so wrong! LOL Graham
  2. Thanks. Still learning my way around the game, but your guide is a real life saver. Printed out a hard copy, which is already getting pretty dog-earred due too constant reference (easier than reading it on my phone) Think I've pretty much got things down now, just a few items in inventory and storage, I've no idea what they are. Graham
  3. Same as in all three PSP games. Graham
  4. Completely agree, not digging it at all. Far prefer the Tenjin YF-19 / YF-21 cockpit art on my original Japanese DVDs. Graham
  5. Zoroastres, I've heard lots of talk about "junk engine, junk frame and junk armor parts". Is it possible to get the these added into the guide? I'm sure I just have lots of these parts, but no idea what the Japanese for them is. Graham
  6. I might have a busted VF-0A that I can get the head from. I'll check at the weekend. Graham
  7. Yeah, without your guide I would have given up on game. Graham
  8. Too late and too tired too write a long reply at the moment, but just to address some of the points. Yamato were actually a pretty small company. You'd be surprised at how small. I don't think I ever saw more than 20 employees during my visits to there Japan offices. May have been a few more or a few less. Of course if you count the Hong Kong and US operations the number increases, but not by much. When there was a Hong Kong office, it was never more than 4 or 5 people. No, Yamato did not own a stake in any of the mainland Chinese factories they used over the years. Yamato were constantly looking for better and more capable factories to produce their VF toys. I think they used 4 to 6 different factories over the 13 year run of making the VF toys. Unfortunately, changes to Chinese labor laws a few years ago, really had a knock on effect and increased production costs by around 20%. Also, the last two factories that Yamato used for the VF-1 v2, VF-11 and VF-19, VF-17, VF-4 where really much better quality-wise, but they did charge a premium. Graham
  9. Please post questions about model kits in the model forum, not the toy forum. Moving topic. Graham
  10. I have a nasty feeling this is going to end up not being made Graham
  11. I'll pass on the armour for this, personally I think it looks better naked and that's how we see it 99% of the time. Although it would be nice to have the wing missiles. Graham
  12. Still no formal confirmation, but more and more sources are saying it was bankruptcy Graham
  13. Is the first hybrid game worth getting? Graham
  14. Is it just me, or do the back FAST Packs, Strike cannon look too small. Graham
  15. Once you learn the VF-17, it's actually pretty easy, but I did spend a lot of time learning it. Graham
  16. Would my dark green Q-Rau test shot qualify for grail status? ( probably not) Or my lighter than normal grey SDF-1 test shot? Ah, maybe I sold that already??? Graham
  17. Didn't sell it, no buyer in the end. Still got it (I think), Let me check. Too much Macross stuff passed through my hands this past decade. Graham Initial runs of the first two 1/48 releases (VF-1A Hikaru and VF-1S Focker), were 15,000pcs each IIRC, subsequent releases were lower at about 7,000 and then 5,000pcs. Graham
  18. Production quantity for the 1/48 low vis was 2,500pcs. Graham
  19. Graham

    Macross 30

Cool, the Diamond Force colour scheme for the VF-171EX had been mentioned in one of the threads, but it's my first time somebody posted pics. Thanks. It looks great. Graham
  20. Well, if this truely is the end, once it's confirmed it is the end and time has passed for the dust to settle, I have some wonderful stories to tell, figures to share, photos to post etc.......hahah But let's just wait and see. Graham
  21. Damn, I don't even remember where my Macross shot glass is. Completely forgot about it. Have to look for it tonight. I have a Whatsapp conversation with a Yamato employee, just wondering should I post it. If I do, I'll have to redact the names. Graham
  22. Where was it written or confirmed that that Arcadia had kept all former Yamato employees? I don't recall seeing or hearing this peice of information before! Unless this information was clearly stated in an official posting from Yamato or Arcadia, i.e. on their blog, website etc, it's just heresay. Now I have no idea about Japanese bankruptcy law. But here in HK if a company is bankrupt and is forceably wound up to pay off debts, all assests of the company would be seized by baliffs and auctioned off in public auction. If the same applies to Japan, then all the 1/60 toy molds may not be in Arcadia's possession. Now I don't mean to sound all negative, and I'm hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but there may well not be. Graham
