  1. Just comparing toys, it doesn't appear to be a mold change. Those head sensors appear to be separate pieces. So for whatever reason, whether on propose or accidently, they where installed and glued on the opposite way around to the Alto toy. Graham

I notice that the VF-1's gunpod in the battroid mode pics still has the stock retracted. Graham

Damn, I hope Bandai releases a repaint of the YF-29 in the Macross 30 Isamu colours. I think I want that just as much as the YF-30. Graham

    Macross 30

Every console I ever bought was bought specifically to play Macross games, with the sole exception of the Sega Mega Drive. Graham
  5. Somebody needs to get these top down shooters on Android ASAP. Graham

    Macross 30

Finally broke down and ordered the standard version of the game from CD Japan. Now I've gotta buy a PS3 Just wondering if it is worth also getting the two Frontier hybrid packs and the DYRL hybrid pack for the games, given that all the mecha from the Hybrid pack games (and more) will be in Macross 30 anyway. 7. Nah, in the present day, Lick Hunter should be a Red Bull air racerhttp://www.redbullairrace.com/cs/Satellite/en_air/Official-Red-Bull-Air-Race-Homepage/001238611393596 Nah, this could be much worse, think G-Saviour bad! And is the movie 'Stealth' the unofficial sequel or prequel? Graham
  8. Podwhat????? Graham
  9. I don't collect anything else apart from Macross. Graham
  10. Bandai really needs to reissue the Alto, I've got one with Armour Pack, one with Super Pack, need to have a third one bare. Hopefully, they will do a reissue bundled with an updated Tornado Pack. Graham

I would have liked the egg carton NOT to be able to deploy in high-speed mode, but that doesn't seem to be the case judging from the video. I wonder if alternate weapons pallets will be available in game for the egg carton to change it into a beam gun or combined beam gun/missile launcher. Graham
  12. I'd say the Toynami 1/100 VF-1S has the worse head sculpt. Graham That was my first ever 1/55........ah, the memories. Graham
  13. LOL.........comedy gold Graham
  14. I'd have to disagree about the 1/65 VF-17S/D being less durable than the 1/55 VF-1. I've broken 1/55s before (especially head lasers), but I've yet to break a Bandai VF-17. I've got a dozen of them bought in 1995 and they have been used and abused, jam packed into a toy chest with other toys, hurled across the room, hit hard with a rolling pin (by my son), dropped, soaked in the bath, but nothing has ever broken. Despite being all plastic, they are built like tanks. The proprtions are not too bad also. To this day, the Bandai 1/65 VF-17D/S are still amoung my all time favorite Macross toys, for their ease of transformation, durability and the appearance is not too bad in battroid mode, or top down view in fighter mode. Bandai certain did a good job of adding all the correct panel lines. Of course, the attrocious Bandai 1/65 VF-19Kai/S is a different story altogether. Graham

Difficult to tell from that angle, can't see any ports. Could just be like the VF-25's legs with no launchers. But I'm going with the theory that it does have the internal launchers. Graham

    Macross 30

But interestingly, the YF-30 is also shown in that gameplay video firing missiles with the egg carton in the stowed position in fighter mode, with the missiles looking like they are coming from the underside of the plane. Possibly it has internal micro missile launchers in the legs, like the YF-29? Graham
  17. They are both great toys. Really depends which you like the look of the most. Graham
  18. Bandai Macross toys ain't that much cheaper than Yamato's and are significantly harder to obtain, what with the limit stocks which sell out online within seconds. Graham Very well written post. Completely agree. Graham
  19. The reason Yamato discontinued the rainbow finish to the canopies is because they were not satisfied with the quality of the finish as it was found that on a small percentage, cracking and flaking would occur. Graham
  20. quote name="Shaorin" post="1021465" timestamp="1360796242"] 91% isopropyl from WAL-MART will do the trick. EASY DOES IT, though; the alcohol will mar any paint-work it contacts!! Yeah, I'm not putting alcohol anywhere near mine, I don't want to risk accidently rubbing off the black panit on the canopy frame. As I mentioned, using dish washing detergent seems to work fine and won't harm the paint. Graham
  21. This is now one of my favorite VF toys. I far prefer the look to the Alto version. Strange, when I first saw the pics online, I hated it. But in person, it's fantastic. Pilot sculpt still sucks though. Bandai could really learn from Yamato regarding pilot figures. Graham
  22. Well, one of my lower level contacts got back to me, he confirmed it is still the same CEO, the company hasn't been sold, they want to diversify apparently. But my contact didn't know whether they will carry on with 1/60 PV Macross toys. Waiting for someone higher up the food chain to get back to me. Grahm

    Macross 30

Always nice to see Macross 7 footage. I sure hope Gamlin and VF-17D/S is unlockable as a playable pilot and mecha. Hope Gamlin, Max & Milia are not just in the game as brainwashed bad guys Would be nice if these Super Dimensional Seminars showed more actual gameplay. Graham
  24. Episode 17 started really well, I thought we were gonna get a full-on battle episode with Clones liberating a planet from Seperatist, but it quickly went down hill when Anakin and Ahsoka got recalled to the Jedi temple and it turned into a CSI type 'who done it' episode Yes, the CSI stuff was well done visually, but damn it I wanted a large scale battle with Clones slagging droids.
