  1. Not a huge fan of Ozma's YF-29 in the PS3 Hybrid pack game as it can't use the back beam cannons except for special attacks (dunno about in Macross 30 as I don't have Ozma's YF-29 yet)and the head doesn't do much for me. I'd much prefer Isamu's YF-29 be made as a toy, that really looks awesome and hey it's Isamu. That said if Bandai made Ozma's I'd probably buy one anyway. Graham
  2. Tis' a sad state of affairs Come back Yamato, all is forgiven. We promise we'll buy more to keep you in business and we won't take you for granted. Graham
  3. Depends do you just want the game, or do you want the game plus all the extra material? In the end, that's something only you can decide. For me the extra material didn't interest me, I just wanted the game. Graham
  4. I've been thinking and wondering these past few days, are NY actually the ones buying up all the stock from other suppliers, thus creating this artificial shortage? Seems strange that NY is always able to secure so much stock where other online retailers can't. It would explain their higher than recommended retail pricing. (This post was aptly written while listening to Metallica's Master of Puppets ) Graham
  5. But to make things easy: http://red-shoulders.blogspot.hk/2013/03/macross-30-voices-across-galaxy-ps3.html?m=1 Graham
  6. Cough.......Zoroastres guide .......cough (search is your friend).I'm the opposite, 40 hours play and still only on story level 4.3. I wanna do all the Hunters Guild quests. Graham
  7. I think about US$900 for my 1/55 Strike Valk, back in the day. Graham
  8. Haha, thanks guys. Graham
  9. What the heck is a 'Nushateru'? I've got a quest to defeat ten of them, but I've no idea what they are??? Graham
  10. I definitely think the CF looks better without the armour. But I've ordered one set just for the wings and missiles, as in the TV series it's usually always shown with wing missiles. Graham
  11. I also received a payment request email from NY today, asking for payment as the toy will be released 'soon'. Graham
  12. Definitely getting this now. So glad I got the PS3 so can finally watch Blu-rays. Graham
  13. Blame Kawamori, not Bandai for the Frontier colour schemes. Graham

    VF-11c

Yeah, great toy. My only minor complaint is that the gunpod doesn't really sit straight in fighter mode. It really could have used a front attachment point as well as the rear attachment. I wish Yamato would have released the atmospheric FAST packs used in operation Stargazer and also the radome that is seen a couple of times in the series. And of course the holy grail, the Full Armour! Graham
  15. Yeah, I'm quite OCD about Hunter's Guild quests, I have to complete them as soon as they show up. Explains why I'm at 32 hours play time, but only on story mission 4-2 (I think), as I spend most of my time doing Hunter's Guild quests and flying around wasting bandits Also, Zoroastres guide is invaluable, as it lists where and when quests become available. Graham
  16. Really loving the generic VF-1S grey colour scheme with double strike cannnons and SMS markings. If only Yamato were still around to make a toy of it. Mind you, it would be a fairly easy custom, if only I had any customing skills Graham
  17. Quick question. Just on the first mission in the Desert. If I want to get back to the Archipelago how do I do so? Is it possible to switch between maps at any time? Graham

    Macross 30

If you can't read any Japanese, Macross 30 can have somewhat of a steep learning curve, much more so than Studio Artdink's other PSP/PS3 Macross games. However Zoroastres English language guide to Macross 30 is a great help and essential if like me you can't read a lick of Japanese. Until you get used to the menu structure and begin to recognise the Japanese text for various items and locations, you will probably find yourself thumbing through his guide on a constant basis. I have a well-worn printed out hard-copy of his guide next to me whenever I play and 32 hours into the game (on story level 4-2), I'm still constantly referring to it for help, especially with the story quests and Hunter's Guild quests. If you have some spare cash, I'd personally recommend picking up the 2nd Frontier movie hybrid pack Blu-ray first, which contains the movie and a Macross Frontier game by Studio Artdink. The game on that although fairly short is great fun and graphically very beautiful. Then if you find you like the style of the Artdink games and want a more in-depth experience, then go for Macross 30. Just my two cents. Graham
  19. Just a gentle reminder, non-Macross stuff should be posted in the "other anime" forum. We've worked long and hard to keep the dedicated Macross forums for Macross only. Thanks, Graham
  20. Stupid me, figured out the problem. I was mixing up Fovos base with Faros base......... haha! Feel like such an idiot. Graham
  21. Although I love the YF-29, I never use the DLC version, the scheme is just fugly. Graham
  22. Now we've all got the VF-25F, the waiting begins for the inevitable VF-25S reissue preorder madness Graham
  23. Yay, just scored on NY Graham
  24. Damn, got the NY alert, but was in a sales meeting with my boss, so couldn't take out my phone to try to place an order. Already closed after I got out of the meeting Graham
