  1. I want one only to display in fighter mode as I think the Super Packs look cool in fighter mode. But I'm not going to lose sleep over it if I can't get one in the end. The v.1 still looks acceptable in fighter mode. Graham
  2. Props to NY for under-declaring the value on shown on the outside of the carton. They declared it as only EURO 10, which kept me out of trouble with my wife, as she was the one at home when the package arrived. However, my other VF-171 arrive from CD-Japan at the same time with the full value decalared (US$157) and that got me in hot water with my wife ;( Graham
  3. My two both arrived yesterday, one from NY and one from CD-Japan. I only opened one last night when I got home and zoomed it around in fighter mode for a while. I didn't attempt a transformation as I was quite Fockered after a night out drinking with friends Graham
  4. I'm wondering if Hasegawa jumped the gun with their announcement before securing the rights and maybe Bandai objected. I'm just worried that with the lack of announcements that this is now vapourware Graham
  5. I've always imagined the VF-11's external radar dish as attaching to the Super Packs via an upside down 'T' shape bar, ┴ with the horizontal bar of the upside down 'T' sitting between the Super Packs and connecting to them and the radar dish sitting on the end of the vertical strut of the ┴ . That's just how I've always thought it's set up. As we never saw the radar dish equipped VF-11 without Super Packs in Macross 7, I've always assumed the radar dish connected to the super parts rather than directly to the VF-11 itself. I'll be interested to see how Hasegawa has the connection set up. Graham
  6. Kittens, send them kittens. They love kittens Graham
  7. Yes, it's normal.HLJ are notorious for their slow order processing. While they are reliable, they are painfully slow at actually getting orders out of the door. The term " glacial progress" springs to mind. HLJ are always my last choice if I want something in a hurry. Graham
  8. Not Alto's plane, it's Leon's. Anyway, unfortunately I strongly suspect this is now vaporware Graham
  9. What was the past credit scene? I left before the credits finished. Graham
  10. To the poster asking about a VF-25 head in the YF-30 Chronos thread. Even making allowances for newbie behavior, there is such a thing as forum etiquette, which means posting your questions in the relevant section of the forums in a suitable thread and if no suitable thread exists, then create one. Don't just post questions in a completely unrelated thread. Posting completely unrelated questions to several threads and then acting like a jerk when people politely call you on it is not going to endear yourself to the mods or admins here. The members on this forum are very helpful and knowledgeable if you play nice and follow the rules. Graham
  11. Moved from the toys forum, as this is clearly not a topic about Macross toys. Graham
  12. As an old school fan, I loved Frontier. Graham
  13. I don't recall any drone piloted version of the VF-171 in the first episode of Macross Frontier (or in any episodes). The only drone in the first episode was the AIF-7S Graham
  14. I will buy it to support Arcadia and the 30th anniversary of Macross. Graham
  15. I have to say after all the hype I was somewhat disappointed with Iron Man 3 when I finally saw it two days ago. Yes, the witty banter was good, there were some great one liners. RDJ and Ben Kingsly both put in excellent perfomances. However, I thought there was not enough of the Iron Man armour in the movie. We had some Iron Man action at the start and end of the movie, but nothing for the long, long middle stretch. In fact for a lot of the movie, I felt I was watching a Die Hard knock off, with RDJ running around in a vest doing his best John McLane impression. My opinion is if you are going to make a movie about Iron Man, find ways to get him in the armour, not ways to keep getting him out of the armour. I also felt that Iron Patriot got captured far too easily. Don't understand why a bit of heat causes the amor to stop functioning. Also, while it was nice that they showed a lot of different armour for the final fight, we didn't really get to see the armour for more than a few seconds each before it was destroyed (thought the armour was supposed to be tougher). Overall, I'd give Iron Man 3 a 6 out of 10. I felt Avengers was a much better movie. Graham
  16. Yay, got shipping notice from NY. Graham

  18. Just received shipping notice today from CD-Japan for my second one. Also received in preparation email yesterday from NY for my first one. Graham
  19. But honestly, is Agent Smith, the enforcement agent for a machine race that puts humans into comas to suck out their energy as living batteries really the best reprsentative a for medical care system!!!!????? If I went into one of those hospitals with a GE system I'd be worried about coming out again........hahaha. Graham
  20. Nah, still not digging it. Still don't like the mecha designs or the silly two person control set up. The rest of the trailer didn't do much for me either. And I love giant robots and grew up on Maxinger Z, Great Mazinger and Combattler V. Graham
  21. I find that very interesting, especially the explanation of why the Zentradi don't have reaction weapons and also that reaction weapons don't produce residual radiation. Graham
  22. Ah, but didn't Macross Plus movie originally have a theatrical release? Graham
