  1. Just bought Call of Duty Ghosts for the PS3, but it didn't come with a hard copy user manual. Is that normal? IIRC, all my other six PS3 games have hardcopy user manuals. Graham
  2. Even though it's already been shot down by Arcadia, my number one wish is still a VF-2SS w/SAP. Anyway, here's my currecnt wish list from Arcadia: 1/60 VF-2SS with SAP (Macross II). 1/60 VF-2JA (Macross II). 1/60 VF-17S Nightmare, Milia Type (Macross 7). 1/60 VF-11C Full Armoured Thunderbolt (Macross 7, VF-X2). 1/60 Fz-109A/F Elgerzorene (Macross 7). 1/60 VF-5000B Star Mirage (TIAS M+, MPGE, M3). 1/60 VF-3000 Crusader (M3). 1/60 VF-19A Excalibur (VF-X2). 1/60 VA-3C (VF-X2). 1/60 VF-0D Phoenix, Shin Type & Normal Type (Macross Zero). I think we have a decent chance of seeing numbers 3, 8 and 10 on the above list. Graham
  3. Thanks davidwhangchoi. Looks like I'll be going with Borderlands 2 and Resistance 3. Graham
  4. Looking for recommendations for a PS3 sci-fi game that has a split-screen co-op campaign story mode and/or a split-screen offline multiplayer mode? What about Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Lost Planet 3, or Crysis 3, do they fit the above criteria? I'm fairly new to the PS3, just bought mine when Macross 30 came out, but now I want to get some split-screen games to play together with my son. I've no interest in online multiplayer, just want split-screen for some quality gaming time with my son. Would prefer a game that has a split-screen story mode, so we can play through the story together. We're currently playing Aliens Colonial Marines together on split-screen campaign mode and really enjoying it (despite the negative reviews). Graham
  5. While I'll probably buy a set of CF super packs just to be a completionist, I do think the VF-25A looks better bare. Graham
  6. I let my son watch Aliens the other week, which he really enjoyed, so I decided to pick up the PS3 game 'Aliens Colonial Marines' on Saturday for us to play together. Had to search more than a dozen game shops before I found a second-hand copy as it was sold out everywhere. Gotta say, playing the campaign on split screen co-op mode, we are both really enjoying it so far. The sound is great, the story is pretty good so far, the game is very atmospheric and the graphics aren't too bad. I've been a fan of Aliens since first watching it as a teen back in 86 and I honestly don't get what's with all the complaints about this game. Sure it could be a bit more polished, but we're having a blast so far. Graham
  7. I actually liked the color of the Gunpod on the painted resin prototype. Graham
  8. Pretty sure they came out in 95, I owned both the Plus and 7 versions. Let me check my old hobby mags from that period and see if they show a release date. Graham
  9. I guess they are using the cover art from TIAS Macross Plus as a color reference for the gunpod. Graham
  10. Personally, I think it looks great. Graham
  11. Pre-ordered 2 from NY. Graham
  12. Never had any problems with NY packing, suitably sized strong boxes, with enough padding. Graham
  13. Got my set from NY yesterday. Sheesh, the Reaction missiles and MDEs are huge! But on examining one of my VF-171 that has never been transformed and just kept on the shelf in fighter mode, I discovered a newly formed crack in one if the black triangle pieces Graham
  14. Not gonna canal any of my preorders. I think the VF-25A is a beautiful Valk. I won't be getting any Super Packs for it though, I think it looks much better bare. Graham
  15. Wish the game had split screen mode, so could play together with my son at the same time. Graham
  16. Yes, it's still obviously the resin prototype, not a test shot, so expected to be gappy. Graham
  17. Beautiful. Graham
  18. The original Macross Chronicle shows the Ghost X-9 to be about the same length as a VF-1. The Frontier era AIF-7S are shown to be significantly smaller in Macross Chronicle when compared to the VF-1. I've always felt the X-9 was a bigger craft that the Frontier era Ghosts Graham
  19. Beautiful box art, shame about the kit. Graham
  20. Topic moved, as not Macross related.
  21. As much as I love the original movie, the trailer for the new movie looked pretty damn good. Will definitely see it at the cinema. Graham
  22. Anybody got a good pic of the grey markings on the intakes, so I can inform Arcadia? Checked Macross Mecha Manual, but they got it wrong Graham

    VF-1J 1/55 Scale

I disagree, Bandai 1/65 VF-17 will survive fast transformations just fine as well. Just as strong, if not stronger than the 1/55 VF-1. Graham I disagree, Bandai 1/65 VF-17 will survive fast transformations just fine as well. Just as strong, if not stronger than the 1/55 VF-1. Graham
  24. Got mine yesterday, no time to open the box yet. Probably wait until the weekend. Graham

    Macross 30

Still on first play through. At 100 hours and on level 8-5. This game has been really fun and great value for money. Can't wait for my second play through.Going to try ultimate difficulty. Still deciding which character to use next time round. Can anybody tell me what is the sub weapon 3 for Isamu's YF-29? Graham
