What were your Favorite PS2 games of this year
Graham replied to jwinges's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just bought my PS2 in October, so haven't had much chance to play many games yet. MY two favorite games so far which I have recently completed are the new Macross game and also the FPS game 'Judge Dredd - Dredd vs Death'. I'm just starting on Row-Boat-Tek Battle Cry, but it's pretty awful IMO and I don't think I'll be able to play through the whole game. I've also bought Devil May Cry, Ace Combat 4 and Armored Core Silent Line. Haven't played them yet, but looking forward to playing. Graham -
Guys, I will be free all day Fri, Sat & Sun 9th,10th & 11th January. I may also be free on the evening of Thu 8th January, but I'm not sure yet. Anyway, I suggest we all meet up on the morning of Friday 9th January for breakfast. Sebastian, if possible can you update the name list to show which hotels people are staying at? Graham

Not that I'm really interested in SW anymore (haven't been for 20 years now), but I've recently been hearing that SW Ep.3 is going to be the final SW movie made. However, I'm sure years and years ago I remember hearing that Lucas planned for 9 movies, i.e. the 3 originals, the 3 prequels and 3 more movies set after the originals. Am I just dreaming this? Was that missile pod that hangs of the left shoulder ever shown in the anime, or is it specific to the model kits? Graham

A new Macross arcade game might not make it outside of Japan with the HG/BW licensing issues. Even without the legal issues it probably wouldn't be very widespread anyway. Also, personally, I have no interest in arcade games. I haven't been to an arcade in nearly a decade. Hate wasting money on the things. Much rather play a console game in the comfort of my home. At least I don't have to keeping feeding coins into a console every five minutes Graham

This worries me, as it may effect plans for a sequel to the recent Bandai / Sega-AM2, PS2 Macross game. Graahm

Yep, that's just a rerelease of series # 1. It's 10pcs per box. Normally you get 5 each of the clear hair version and 5 each of the normal hair version. This means that you will get 2pcs of each character (1 clear hair & 1 normal), unless you get the chase Minmay doll instead. Series 2 is supposed to be being released in February 2004, but the character lineup hasn't been announced yet. Graham

Yikes, they have done it. It's an anime based on tatu - those useless, tone-deaf, pretend-lesbians. See here. Graham

Nah, nobody wants to contact you. We will all run away from you if we see you Just joking. Graham

Just a reminder, this forum is for discussing Macross games only. This is a Macross forum, not a Halo forum. Graham

In the PS2 BSG game, does your Viper have missiles or only Turbo Lasers? Graham

Oh yeah, that's good enough reasons. Vostok 7 yeah, but Frank's dead. i bet if he were alive, He'd praise the mini-series. the movie was straight up David Lynch non-sense. Herbert said he liked what Lynch did with the movie. He wrote the books, I'd say his opinion mattered more than yours. obviously, but what i'm saying is Lynch's version was all he had seen at that pointi think had he lived to see the SciFi series, he would have loved them even more than lynch's version. Personally, I hated the mini-series. I thought all the actors were horribly miscast and looked nothing at all like how they are described in the books. Also, a lot of the acting in the mini-series was extremely wooden. IMO, Lynch did a much better job with his casting choices and the characters actually looked fairly close to how they are described and how I imagined them. Of course, both the movie and the mini-series took a lot of liberties with the story, the movie more so than the series. Out of the two, I far prefer the movie for it's superior acting and visuals. I quite liked the original BSG, except for when the got to Earth that was just so bad. I remember in UK back in 1979 they showed the pilot as a theatrical release. It was great seeing it on the big screen. I recently rewatched the orginal BSG pilot on an old VHS tape I dug up from my collection and one thing struck me as really hokey is that there is one scene where I think Apollo and Zack are flying in space and Apollo tells Zack to apply reverse thrust and apply maximum air brakes...yeah right, air brakes in space! At age 9 studied Judo for a Year. At age 14, did Field Archery and Sabre Fencing for 2 years. At age 24, took up IPSC shooting for 5 years. At age 32, studied Wing Chun for 1.5 years. Now I'm studying 'Arnis', a type of Philippine stick fighting (similar to kali & Escrima). Just got my yellow belt a few weeks ago. Graham

Personally, I love the character cell animation in Mac Zero. I also love the CG Valk animation. About the only animation in Mac Zero I don't like is when they cell animate the Valks, it's just so badly done IMO, looks like something from Anime Fiend. I say keep all the VFs in Zero CG only! I'm also getting to like the BGM in Mac Zero more. I still can't remember it well enough to hum it yet, but at least my OST CD is getting more of a playing now. While I like the BGM and songs of Mac Plus, I've gotta say I also prefer the music of SDF/DYRL and Mac 7 more than Plus. Graham

Heh, this is at least the third or fourth 'how old is everybody' thread we've had on these forums. Anyway, 34, but feel like 50. Graham

Which is your favorite Star Wars movie?
Graham replied to Jolly Rogers's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Haven't really been into Star Wars since I was about 13, and that was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. I guess my favorite is still ANH (can't beat the original), with ESB being second. Don't really care for any of the others. Graham -
Anything's possible, but I doubt it. Graham
